Filipinos care about these things. Pac is an elected official to them.

Of course because the majority of the general public literally don't know **** about boxing, not in the typical board joke sense, but literally.

Pac brings a lot of casual fans (like me!) to the sport, so there's a real good chance that Pac wins those polls because of his popularity with the casuals, who very likely outnumber the hardcore fans.

That would be the most important choice, people make too many choices with there emotions. It's a Boxing match not a nice guy contest.

Do yall remember that poll by ESPN that had Pacquiao beating Duran and Bernard Hopkins in a fight

And they rated pac as the GOAT over SRR

Floyd knows something about boxing, too. He knows Pac is a legitimate threat.

    :deal

Pac has beaten Sugar Ray Robinson on polls..... they're irrlevant because of a ridiculously delusional fanbase. it's meaningless. Floyd has and will always be the betting favorite which is the real poll. When it comes down to laying down cash even the *******s know the deal as the betting odds suggest

Which is why i dont understand why hardcore fans dismiss casual fans like they don't mean ****. Then this same hardcore fans complain how boxing needs to be rescued from dying.

The other side of the coin is Floyd declaring himself to be the GOAT. And many people objected.

Yeah I saw that crap, Sugar Ray Robinson went 86-0 in the Amateurs and fought almost 200 pro fights with over 100 knockouts and only got knocked out once and lost only 19 times...that is sick numbers.

That would actually be a good fight Pacquaio vs Roberto Duran or SRL at 147 I would pay TODAYS PPV for that. :yep

that's different. Floyd is by no means the GOAT. BUT Floyd is entitled and supposed to think that he's the GOAT. One thing all boxers must have is confidence. Floyd and any other boxer can't come and think before the fight "Oh my opponent is better than me. He's probably going to whoop my ass"

You don't do that, or you will get hurt. I tell myself that I'm the best fighter in my county. Is it true? Hell yeah it's true, but a lot of ppl would disagree :D
