Anyone that knows boxing would say that Clottey is not a dangerous opponent for Pac. The guy has low punch output and has no power at all.

Anyone that knows boxing? Even manny steward said that clottey is the kind of fighter who would any welterweight in any era, including leonard, hearns and duran, a big problem. Have you seen his fight against margo, the most feared welterweight not a long time ago?

Why should he? He fought for a 147 lb title allowing the other guy to only weigh in at 145. Now to anyone who fights, 1 pound means a lot as a lot of people say that Cotto weighed in at 146 in his fight against Clottey hence 1 pound wont matter. There is a reason for 145. Roach and his team knew that Cotto even had a hard time making 147. Pac's team originally wanted it at 143 but Cotto said the lowest he could make is 145. Now it was Cotto's decision that the fight be made at 145 but the truth is, he knew this was his only opportunity for a big payday. We can say that Pac's team "coerced" Cotto to fight Pac by saying that this is a once in a lifetime opprtunity for Cotto.

That's because of his turtle like shell defense and durability. Add to the fact his hesitance to open up, surely fighting him would be a big problem. But him being a big threat? No. Doesnt even scare the elite fighters. And yes I did see the fight.

what's so funny about that? pac and his team were yapping to the media that the fight is cotto's opportunity for a big payday

maybe to you, but i'm sure cotto didn't have any problem cutting 1 lb. just admit that pac was just the better fighter that night. :smoke
