When We Were Kings rocks! If there was only one documentary on boxing one would watch before he dies, it is this film, and Stallone's Rocky series does not even come close. The director is one of the most respected documentary makers in the last three to four decades! Sadly, the Oscar Winning director Leon Gast falls from grace and chooses to document Pacquiao over other boxers who achieved greatness. I ask why? atsch Pacquiao is NOT that big a star for the Academy winning director to make a film about. The thing is, the media is making him big when he really isn't as big as say, Floyd. *******ism is like a disease. This is bound to bomb. What storyline will he come up with when Pacquiao gets KTFO next week? Ask yourselves. http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=628698&publicationSubCategoryId=69
I watched When We Were kings in 99 and it is a must for every boxing afficionado. To have Manny chosen by an acclaimed director to be alongside Muhammad Ali is a once in a lifetime feat. This only proves how larger -than-life a character Manny Pacquaio is now. A superstar which every boxing fan should be proud of. This is once in a lifetime. Let's all enjoy him while we can. Boxing is alive. Thank you Emmanuel Pacquiao.
Who else could they pick over PAC at the moment with regards to current fighters?:huh I'd say Floyd but he's not really that big outside the US and I think PAC is actually more popular at the moment. Floyd is BIG in the US but when I say "BIG"...I mean a lot of folks know about him but more folks don't really care for him the way they care and know Manny. So it's really all about what makes the most sense. Doing a Doc on Floyd makes NO sense compared to his peer in PAC. Don't be upset. I'm sure they'll do a good job on the Doc about PAC. Did you see the 60 Min coverage of him...?? Quality stuff!:good
You know what funny is? What funny is what's gonna happen to the storyline when he crumbles against Margarito. "Hey Mr.Director, that's not quite part of the script"
You are in love with Pacman or something? You are quite obsessed with him it seems. You only post about Pacman.
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A Las Vegas court has ordered boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. to stay away from his former girlfriend and their two sons after prosecutors say he hit her and threatened to beat his children if they called 911. The 33-year-old Mayweather skipped a hearing Tuesday before Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Diana Sullivan on eight misdemeanor and felony charges. Sullivan gave Mayweather a week to pay $31,000 in bail. Authorities allege Mayweather also took mobile phones belonging to Josie Harris and his sons following the Sept. 9 dispute. Mayweather faces charges of felony coercion, grand larceny and robbery, and misdemeanor domestic battery and harassment. He could face up to 34 years in prison if convicted on all charges. He is due back in court Jan. 24. This content is protected First Ricky goes into deep depression, snorts coke like no joke, pounds the beer, and fcuks a hippo while messing things up with his fiance. And now lil Floyd wit all this, and can't forget about lil floyd making those ignorant and classless videos. Shame :nono Y couldn't these two guys just stick to :bbb
This is the point. Floyd Mayweather is more exciting and has achieved more than pacquiao in boxing. Aside from that he has a more exciting life outside the ring to be covered by even the most meticulous paparazzi. It's stupid and beyond me that they choose the little midget poser wannabe-star over a real star.
"I lost respoect for Iole..." I lost respect for Simon..." A ***** like you never had repsect for anyone in the first place. :nut
