Pacquiao can fight who he wants....he has beaten top quality fighters while having blood tests his whole career....realistically how can mayweather actually compete with him resume wise... mayweather hasnt fought a top welterweight for years....pac has beat a top welter and is now going to fight another top welter... agreed floyd at 130 was a beast...but to be a all time great you have to do it through out your career...ray robinson universally confirmed all time great...he fought the best out there... retired came back fought the best again.... that is a the mark of a all time great...mayweather has the skills most defiantly... but you have to prove it...you need heart...you need courage...you need to be able to go to a fight and be prepared to take shots....mayweather needs to so so much to place himself up there with the likes of ray robinson leonard hearns griffith armstrong... he needs to cement his legacy....pac isnt using...fight pac prove yourself if he can... forget this bull**** drug testing...stop trying to ruin pac's name... and fight...i respect mayweather so much for his boxing abilities...second to none that i have seen but unless you can prove yourself against the best how can you expect to be remembered as a great....this whole situation has pissed me off... i hate the stupid 4 titles at each weight... i hate the boxing politics...30 years ago this fight would be given....no ****ing around no bull**** just fight.... sorry for this rant i am just slightly tipsy and wanted to get this off my chest....i dont want this bull**** in boxing...it just makes MMA look better and i cant stand it....boxing is a true sport mma is thugs brawling....fun to watch but in the end irrelevant....end of rant

They just need to fight for:

    -the money
-further improve both legacies no matter the outcome
-two of the Greatest Fighters of All Time are in the same era, in their prime, and in the same division...the curosity would kill everyone if they never fought, so many "what ifs" would be left unanswered

If it wasn't for all the STEROIDS garbage that has been tagged on Pacquiao's brand and possibly even his legacy because of this outrage of a situation, I might be able to agree with you. But the fact is Manny Pacquiao's good name has been damaged, and there will be jeers and whispers of foul play around every corner from here on out. He's not going to be able to just go on with his life and career. His only chance at putting the controversy to bed was to take the Mayweather fight. His people have been too stupid to see how this situation would blow up, and they're too stupid now to see walking away from this fight is going to be the worst mistake Pacquaio ever made.

True, somewhat. They still need each other. Everybody wants this fight to happen. Well, almost everybody.

Pac's Legacy is set, Floyd will only enhance it and propel it very high in rankings.. He faces challenges each and every time and amazes us! each and every time. His record speaks for itself.

Floyd, had a good career in the beginning but as he got older instead of becoming more strong and with no fear because of experience. Instead he became a ***** a chicken...a money hungry guy that wasted his talent. Always will be asked, what could have been?

i understand the what if's... i want the fight to happen as much as anyone...my point (i think as i am slightly off it) is that mayweather needs this... he needs to make the fight...i love good fighters doing well and while i can not for the life of me predict the outcome of the fight as pac always exceeds expectations this fight needs to happen like i said for the sake of boxing...who honestly wants ufc to become m ore popular...which will happen unlkess big fights happen soon... i have many a friend who follow ufc and as much as i try to sway them to the science of boxing they get swayed by the stupud publicity of dane white...there needs to be a single belt in each catergory... that way the best in weight is undisputed... like i said the politics in boxing are ridiculous.... wba is a joke... bob arum is a joke... golden boy are a joke... i honestly thought de la hoya would bring order to the sport....i always knew there were people behind him pulling strings but he needs to stand up and say what is what... at the end of the day he was a great boxer who fought all available... a model for the sport... he needs to apply that to his promotion company... money has become to much of a problem not just in boxing but the world... again sorry for the rant... i get angry when i drink

AS far as the public is concerned PAC is #1 P4P... He honestly has nothing to prove anymore unless he wants to further enhance his Career and Legacy.

Floyd needs PAC to solidify the end of his career. Because I will agree he did have a good run in the beginning of his career he needs PAC to prove he is still as great as before and needs mosely to show he has balls or any top WW. Because recently he has been chery picking a lot.

If Floyd does not man up he will never get to prove that he can beat pac, While pacs Legacy will rank higher then PBF's for all the performances PAC has given us..

great post and agreed. floyd should just fight if he thinks its an "easy fight" for him. all these demands and media posturing by floyd would not get the fight done.

Shut up *******s. Thats like settling for silver. He can go out with gold or sterling ****ing silver and if he beats Floyd(which he cant) he gets platinum status. Only you whores cockride him into that status. Boxing wont. If he beats Mayweather than he will be undenied as one of the greatest.
