I don't get defensive about it at all. If it comes to light that he has done it, I'll just be very disappointed. I don't put anything past anyone. I was disappointed enough when Alex Rodriguez admitted he used steroids.

EPO needs time to work.

EPO is naturally produced by the kidneys in response to acute blood loss or hypoxia. It stimulates the bone marrow to produce more red blood cells.

It works because you increase the amount of oxygen being carried by the body. Working in high altitude works in similar manner, as hypoxia or low oxygen content in high altitude stimulates RBC production. That is why people imn high altitude have redder cheek because they carry more RBC.

However, there is a drawback to this because you alsa have high hematocrit or the proportion of cells realtive to serum or fluid is high, which increases chances for embolism or stroke or heart attacks. Its other side effect is lethargy, For a boxer who dehydrates prior to a fight, that is not good, as this would be magnified.

Injection of EPO is suspected for fighters who have high hematocrit. But test had been in place since year 2000.

 

Mayweather is more likely 2 be on roids than Pac IMO
