what did roach give to the pacman in that corner? what did he say to him? 'cause that was a different manny pacquiao that came out of that corner for round 6! i imagine roach saying with a straight face "we've got him where we want him!" right after pacquiao spits a liter of blood in the bucket. or it could simply have been a-side meff. haha. down 4 rounds to 1, outboxed, outtimed, frustrated the entire fight, how did he turn it around in 1 minute? whatever was said in that corner, IMO we can point to that break as the moment an ATG was born. he could have quit right there, retired, and still be remembered as that very good little guy who gave legends all they could handle. but he was not about to become a footnote in their storied careers. he wanted to carve out his own legend. so he layed it all on the line, came out with guns blazing, and totally sucked the fight out of the great el terrible with 32 powershots, practically ending his career in round 6 that fateful day. the rest as they say is history.
"it's normally the 2nd part of the fight where killing yourself to make weight finally takes effect.....hang in there son!"
pac was told to pace himself. Buboy said in an interview that as early as round 1, pac wanted to gobble up EM. but roach wanted pac to pace himself and control his aggression so as not to repeat the mistakes of the first fight. in round six, Pac was finally unleashed.
Pac really had a lot more pop behind his punches in the rematch than in the first fight. I think his body had adjusted to the new weight class. (the first fight was his first fight at that weight). He just beat Morales down like he would have imo if he wasn't moving up to Morales' division the first time. First fight, Morales was eating Pac's punches like candy.
The Diaz fight is where we start to see the current Pacquiao. More cautious, better defense, both hands efficient...
3 lead lefts (actually the second one really broke it) by pac early in round six broke morales nose and also his will....
I dunno about that. He was more patient in that fight but as far as timing and movement is concerned, the Diaz fight is like the mini-ODLH fight.
morales just wilted from what i remember he had wars with barerra a war vs manny and a bad loss to raheem he fought brave but he wore out werent they icing morales thighs between rounds his legs quit on him
