I am not trying to bash Mayweather, but he has a childishness to him that Ali and Roy did not have. He also likes to flaunt more and talks about money way more... I mean, he calls him self Money for Christ sakes.
Mentioning Ali and Mayweather in a same sentence is sacrilegious! The only thing they have in common is that they are brash, but Ali's brashness has intellectual content while Mayweather's mirrors his fan's - idiotic. Filipinos adored Muhammad Ali at the time when the American public hated him and when the American population was polarized by ethnicity. And that love affair continued up to today!
Floyd stands for money and a mentality of greed which negatively reinforces stereotypes of black culture, while Muhammad Ali represented a struggle for freedom and equality under his faith. Muhammad talked ****, but he backed it up by fighting everyone out there, including the best. Floyd spouts off insults at great fighters that came before him as they age, while Ali showed in retrospect respect and admiration for the greats before him.
Pacquiao thinks he can't be beaten.Floyd says the same.Manny wants 40 million for his fight with Mayweather but Mayweather is hated for fighting for money.Hypocrisy.Floyd supposedly ducks people but Manny hasn't defended the 140 title once.Pacq fans don't know which way is up.It's all hypocrisy.
+1 ali is a great boxer. filipinos have high respect with ali. stupid analogy! stupid thread:!: my unlce worked in the u.s bases was back in the 70's. he has found memories working in the u.s. bases. i myself visited the philippines a few times. filipinos are warm and friendly. no complaints against them. stop making stupid comments.
It's a great thread because it's true. You think you love Ali,you say love Ali,but the things you hate about Floyd were all shared by Ali.
