There's been a lot of chat on here recently about the challenge Margarito poses to Pacquiao. This has been amplified a bit by what's been portrayed on the 24/7 shows and various media days. Politics. Roach saying it's the worst training camp he can remember etc.

I'm curious about the ESB state of opinion: Just how worried are you about Pacquiao's prospects in this fight? If you're particularly worried, why? If not, why not?

On a scale of one to ten, I'd say a "7".

I'm more worried than usual. The most worried I have been since the Oscar fight. And that has nothing to do with the 24/7 coverage, it's a feeling I've had since the fight was made on account of Margarito's size, strength and resilience. Too many people are completely underestimating these factors. If backed into a corner, I'd still say Manny wins, but by a UD, I cannot see Pac stopping Margo at all.

    Good answer.

I'm not a die-hard Pac-fan by any means, although I do rate him pretty highly. One of the reasons I asked the question was that I've been quite dismissive of the fight since it was announced but, the closer the fight gets, the more seriously I've been taking it. I'm not sure whether this is me being unduly influenced by the media coverage, or whether it's just a more accurate assessment of the odds, though, and was interested in what the fans thought.

Worried more than usual for the following reasons:

    1. Worst camp for Pac ever where for the first time has he has actually missed workouts and his focus questioned. Many Pac fans say he looks slower in his workouts compared to last few fights.

    2. Margarito is going to be Pac's biggest opponent who has KOd larger opponents, will have the best chin like DLH, will throw as many punches as Pac and won't get tired.

    3. Margarito is going to be in tremendous shape, much better than the version we saw against Shane Mosley. His mental shape will be top notch as well barring he doesn't get caught inserting illegal pads again before this fight. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain in this fight.

I think Pac will be one of ther greatest fighters ever if he pulls this one of at that catch weight, and no mayweather fans can take that away from him. I cant believe some of the stuff i have read on this site recently people pulling excuses if Pac wins I mean WTF if he wins he deserves all the credit in the world. There will be jokers on here still mugging him off.

It's normal to be more worried as the fight gets closer, this is boxing one perfect punch can end a fight.

A bit worried, same as usual.

I think it's 3 that's one of the most impressive. The way he's been training pretty much refutes any of the allegations that the fight is fixed. There's no way he'd go to the lengths he has been if there was a possibility he'd take a dive.
