you mean defensive gifts, i wouldnt call Floyd an offensive fighter and no i think Floyds footwork and timing is far too good as well as his punch accuracy plus id be willing to bet Floyd hits harder than Marquez Manny wins only if he can hurt floyd or maybe on a Paul Williams like decision based on he threw more punches despite not being effective
im not denying Floyds ability but he is a counter puncher and typically scores off openings and mistakes he usually isnt the guy initiating the attack
Typically, yes. But I'm just pointing out, he can be a devastating offensive fighter when he chooses to be. I think people write off that side of his game too easily. In his last few fights we've even seen him stand still and trade for quite a few rounds. Some people(not nessesarily you) think if he shows an offensive style against Pacquiao at any stage, he'll be KTFO. I just don't see it, he's a great offensive puncher and has a great chin himself. :conf
A fraud did not destroy Cotto, Margarito, Dela Hoya, Hatton, Diaz, Morales, and Barerra. With that said it does not mean Pac will defeat Mayweather. Mayweather is a defensive wonder who adapts to each fighter in each fight. He will be too smart to trade with Pac amd will try to win by any means possible short of getting hit. Who can blame him for that. Styles make fights and it is not likely that Pac-Mayweather will be fight of the year or for that matter fight of the night.
i wasnt writing it off i just think its Floyds defense matched with Mannys aggression thats gonna win the day for Floyd Juans footwork is what gave Manny the most problems Juan wasnt running but would do subtle side steps or back up just out of range and make Manny miss I think Floyd has all the right tools plus Floyd is an underrated body puncher i think Manny is more susceptible to body shots, his chin is iron but Juan bothered him to the body and the last time i saw him truly hurt was a left hook to the body by Margarito
I felt confident that Pac could prove difficult for Floyd to hit because of his in-out movement, especially because Floyd has became more flat-footed in recent years. However, in his last two fights Pac looks like he is no longer capable of sustaining that type of movement, so I'm not confident in his ability to prove a difficult target for Mayweather anymore.
