PBF was turned down for fights with the champions of those divisions. Pacquiao hasn't OFFERED to fight the champions. And on top of this, PBF was in an entirely different position at the time. He didn't hold all the cards because he was not th draw. Pacquiao does, so this falls on him.

And JMM not fighting Guzman is not the same as Pacquaio not fighting him. JMM turned him down when he was training for a brawler and he pulled out. ALSO, JMM fans don't run around saying he fights the best and should be #1 P4P. Pacquaio fans do. That is the key sticking point, and nothing you type up can change that.

i have long said that this match will not happen because i thought jmm will overprice himself. now that this is seemingly not the case. i really think it all depends on pac and his management. jmm seems to be willing to take a paycut just to have a shot at pac

As I said don't get lost in the HYPE. Pac fights the best but not all the time. Is Velaquez, Solis or Larrios being considered the best? :-(

Nopes but he fought these guys in between MAB, Marquez, Morales, Morales and then MAB again.

And don't argue about Guzman being the best . . . he's got the boring style to upset Pacquaio but JMM is still better. :yep

I just want Pacquaio to fight the best not the most exciting fighter but the best fighters out there. Pacquaio is a exciting fighter already. I just want to see him fight the best and the best is either JMM or Juan Diaz not David Diaz.

what if is does not happen? would you still have the same respect for pac? man, i've been a supporter since before he won his first opbf title and i somehow think that if he still manages to wiggle out of this match, i'd be really dissapointed at pac and his management

If he fights David Diaz, then so be it. IMO, it's not any different than the fights with Larios and Solis. And that's how I'm going to view it. For sure, he'll fight either Juan Diaz or JMM/Valero/Guzman afterwards.

As for JMM, etc, he missed his first chance and fought Chris John - JMM's getting it served back at him.

You're telling me not to argue about Guzman not being the best, but then put MAB and Morales in there at the times Pacquaio fought them:lol:

MAB was no where near the best this last time out. And Morales has been fading for a while (see the loss to Raheem and struggle with the aforementioned David Diaz for proof). No one who has lost as many fights lately as Morales can be called "the best". As I see it, Pacquiao hasn't fought a prime championship level fighter SINCE JMM. And you're telling me not to get lost in the hype. Names are names, they can be legends, it doesn't make them still top level fighters.

Well the way you view things it seems that . . . you're more of a hater.

MAB was at his best when Pac first fought him. Morales was still in the p4p list when Pac first fought him. How dare you compare your boii Guzman to both Mab and Morales? MAB and Morales will still command big respect from the boxing purist than your boii Guzman even now that they are retired. The rematches? Would Pac get the stature and respect that he has now if he had refuse those rematches against the "out of prime" legends? :rofl

If Pac didn't fight those non top level legends . . . he could have turned out like JMM.

    :patsch

I love you guys and your labels. I said since he fought JMM didn't I? That would certainly exclude the first MAB fight. (Common sense "bruh")

I am not a Guzman fan. It's nice of you to try and find an angle to devalue the argument. But sorry, that's not the case. I don't rate Guzman P4P.

Morales was in the P4P list when he fought Pacquaio. He was also old and coming off a loss. Hopkins is in the P4P list now, do you think he is prime? (That's an old Pacfan argument, and it's easy to counter see?). Morales also BEAT Pacquaio. The 2nd time they fought Morales was NOT rated and also coming off a loss again to a nobody. And MAB was not rated the 2nd time. He was even called old by Pacquiao's fans, not to mention, Pacquiao had no reason to rematch him since their first match wasn't close. He should have been fighting a prime Champion then....And those tune ups in between fighting old guys didn't help. Are you trying to assert that MAB was prime in their last fight? Or that the Morales who lost what, 5 of his last 6 matches was ALSO prime?

I know it bugs you, but sorry "bruh" the NAME of a fighter doesn't make him good. Yes, Guzman is a better fighter than Morales and MAB right now. I am not comparing legacies. I am comparing the current fighter. If you think otherwise, perhaps it's time we labeled you? :deal You won't find very many who think MAB or Morales (the versions Pacquiao just fought) could beat the current version of Guzman. Ask....find out.
