Here is why i think so....Let's look at the recent events....

Mayweather has lately been on a media binge after being pretty quite....stirring up some things.

We have had Arum as usual with his propaganda....he even openly admited to lying about a 65 million dollar offer...something he rarly does.

Before Mosley was done they went str8 for JMM...a counter puncher and high level of skill(comprable to Floyd)...very winnable fight.

Floyd counters with an aggresive, hard hitting, lefty, pressure fighter(comparable to Pac)..verry winnable fight.

Both fighters fighting in the same year and close proximity..Sept and Nov.

To me it looks as if they have worked this out already but don't want to spill the beans and will likely organize the signing of the fight in a manner that draws more public attention....i think we have a fight.

I dont want to get into the whole who dont wanna fight thing or who is scared we have done that for about 2 years now....i wann look at these facts and see if you guys feel the smae or have a differnt opinion on whats going on.

I've read this a few times over the past couple of days and, while plausible, it's too good to be true.

The fight is not happening. Ever. Or at least not until one of them loses and their stock plummets. Floyd doesn't want it, Arum doesn't want it, Pac either doesn't care or doesn't want it. It's not happening. We've been speculating on this for two years now. The sooner everyone comes to this realization, the better this will be for everyone, most especially the General Forum.

No for now....Floyd could have faced PAC instead of Ortiz and even though Vic is a southie....Floyd had his eye on Berto and by default Ortiz won the winning lottery ticket. So I"m not sure how much credence I give the whole "Floyd is fighting victor who is a southpaw in preparation for PAC".

Lets hope it comes to fruition bro:good

Pac-JMM: Pac tuneup against a defensive minded boxer
Floyd-Ortiz: Floyd tuneup against an offensive aggressive fighter

    Pac-Floyd 2012

    ...but for now, :dead

SPOT-ON. Floyd will collect his princely sum for this fight and fade into the woodwork again. I will give him credit for taking on Ortiz, however. It's a better fight than Pac's last two for sure.

Floyd sometimes makes very solid and intelligent decisions...most of the time it's in the ring or the path he takes in building his resume. Ortiz is a great fight for boxing. Half the work is done when the perception of the fight is one that looks competitive....even if it's not.:good

There were some reports after Ortiz-Berto that Berto was essentially set to fight Mayweather after Ortiz, probably in September.

He did not have to fight Ortiz though....Floyd could have taken any route....hell to be such a coward as some of you suggest...he still would have chosen Berto, or he could have asked ANY of the 140 guys to come up...Floyd did not have to choose Ortiz.

Drug testing will scuttle this fight. Unless Arum is done with Pac or Pac is done with Boxing? Pac won't be drug testing.
