Yea i agree there mate , ive been thinking long and hard about "Massive Manny" for a while now , just imagine the damage it would do to the sport on a globle scale if these suspisions were true . i for one hope they ain't after seeing him rise the last few years . true boxing entertainment .

 

I'm going to be so cut if this fight doesnt happen.

also, howcome steroids isn't a major issue in boxing?
howcome we rarely hear about boxers being tested for drugs anyway??
and howcome the mosley drug thing i only heard about recently??
doesn't the boxing commission here or in the US or wherever hold a tough stance on taking performance enhancing drugs in boxing?
and if caught, what are the ramifications and the punishment , if any?

 

Zero ramifications and punishment .
Just look at Roy Jones Junior's case . Australia still let him box there without a quibble . you would think a fighter moving up in weight would draw a certain amount of attention what with his alledged record ref Steroid abuse .

 

Yeah mate **** easy these days to get performance enhances and take them within a professional sport without getting detected..

Manny could be on many different combos of enhances that if taken within the right time frame wouldnt be detectable by fightnight..

In combat sports where fighters go up down in weight whilst trying to keep peak physical fitness it would be stupid for us to think all the blokes are clean.

No. Other fighters such as James Toney and Fernando Vargas have been punished in the past.

 

Speaking from personal experience it takes many years (4 in fact) to get over the heart breaking realization that you have been cheated. I will call for similar drug tests to be undertaken by all Nations competing in the 2011 world cup.
