Pacquiao-Mayweather ticket to cost a fortune

    By NICK GIONGCO
    December 6, 2009, 3:45pm
A ringside seat to the Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather super fight next year will amount to the annual income of a minimum wage earner.
Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum told the Bulletin Sunday that a premium seat in the March 13, 2010 welterweight title fight will cost $2,500 (P117,500), while the cheapest will be sold at $500, assuming the fight is held at the 17,000-seat MGM Grand.
If the fight is held, say, at the 80,000-capacity Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the price of the seat would remain the same, while the inexpensive seat will be sold lower than $500.
Arum said a meeting with Golden Boy Promotions (GBP) Chief Executive Officer Richard Schaefer, who represents Mayweather, will be held Monday followed by an inspection of the Cowboys Stadium near Dallas by him and Top Rank officials is scheduled On Wednesday.
“We would know the venue by the end of this week,” said Arum, stressing that billionaire Jerry Jones, who owns the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League, is more than willing to put up a juicy offer that could rival even Las Vegas’ proposal.

    This one is too much...:yep

The problem is not the ticket. It's all the other expenses that go along with it.

Plane ticket, hotel, food, drinks, etc...

This is as usual all down to those greedy ****in grasping *******s at GBP:fire same old **** here as in any DLH fight, $2.500 for his Floyd/Pac fights, it ai'nt arum who's behind this as he's no mug, he's all for sensible pricing in th main due to the economy but any/everytime GBP gets involved then it's a mugging & all done to price out the real boxing fans.

ABSOLUTLY NO TICKETS WILL BE OFFERED FOR SALE IF THIS FIGHT IS HELD AT THE MGM:deal they'll all be off-loaded to the ticket agencies ( A GBP secret stipulation) as per usual for the celebs & the great & the good who need camera time & I WAS THERE in their social dairy & blog the ****in *******s.

I was at Hatton/Mayweather & that was a GBP fleece job, Cotto/Margo (Good value) Hatton/Pacman (Fair) & Cotto/Pacman (Fair) & all arum fights, but GBP are just $$$$$$$$ ****** ****s, ****-em, i can afford it but i ai'nt getting mugged by these ****s:fire:bbb:|

Those are nose bleed seats though! The fighters look like lil ants running around in the ring. Then you have to watch it on the big screen, but at least you can say you were at one of the biggest fights in history.

For me it's a long haul over to the states so i've always tried to get a seat in the lower section + i'am blind as a bat after necking 15+ tecata's, the Hatton/Floyd fight was my 1st nose-bleed fight, i walked in, told turn left & climb, i stopped every so often thinking this was my section but got hounded out & chased upwards & upwards aaaaaaarrrrggghhhhhhhh, jeezus the oxygen just got thinner & thinner, yeh you'r right, now i've calmed down i'll proberbly go, as it's all about the buzz in the build up.

But one downer here is that i don't think that it'll be a good fight crowd, floyd has no fan base & the pinoys don't bar hang, it'll be more likely be a rubber neck event with all the celebs & casuals making up the numbers more's the pity, as for me thats why there's always about 500+ brits that always fly over as we just love the buzz & the yap with you yanks/PR's/Mex's, it's tops:deal

Believe me it will be a good fight crowd! probably roudy! Not as bad as you Brits are but its gonna be the biggest fight in this decade so expect crazyness. Im still debating if I should buy the nose bleeders or just watch it closed circuit. I just like the fight atmosphere in Vegas=drunkeness and fun.
