Why do detractors always look at this one-sidedly? Pacquiao was moving up 2 weight classes for Oscar's one. Oscar was the favorite in the odds as well as overwhelmingly among experts for the Pac fight, and was dominated. Floyd was the favorite and got a decision but struggled.
It doesn't matter who out perform who. It is about STYLES. I do not take any factor if Floyd out do Manny in beating JMM or Manny outdoing Hatton over Floyd. Bottomline is which of the two fighters can adapt and adjust when they are impose with a style they find difficult? I think most people know why Floyd is fave over pac in gambling sites as well as many boxers who pick floyd over Pac. It is bc of the fact that Floyd can overcome all styles while Manny has avoid slick counter punchers and JMM bout really exploited how weak Pac does against a fighter who counters. Floyd has overcome pressure, strength, aggression, and counter puncher. I mean you name it he has solve the puzzles. Manny did this as well EXCEPT against a great counter puncher.
I am a fan of both boxers and i must say that Floyd haters/******* are really trying too hard to try to convince people that Manny can beat Floyd. It is annoying how far people will go just to discredit Floyd who is really unwarranted with a lot of the accusations that i have seen on this site that makes me with to take Floyd's side even more. Can Manny win? sure of course is possible. Martinez and Pac are the people who i think are the only ones who can possibly upset floyd but 50/50 against martinez, and 60/40 pac.
Not even sure how the Marquez win could be considered debatable. If size is a factor for you, than fighting a guy at his ideal weight rather than a catch weight should also be a factor, as was a circumstance in both the DeLaHoya and Cotto fight where Floyd fought bigger men. Pacquiao fought a TALLER man in DeLaHoya, but he certainly wasn't bigger on that night. I say Floyd gets Marquez, Shane and possibly Hatton, who was undefeated, with his trainer of 10+ years, had his confidence and a chin that wasn't touched up prior. One thing that is hard to debate is that Floyd fought better versions than each one of those guys than Pacquiao did, with the exception of Marquez 1 and 2, which were very debatable in their own right.
Floyd win other Del La Hoya was clearly better and we all the know the reasons why. Floyd was the first man not only to beat Ricky Hatton but knock him out. Pac had the better result in regards to an early stoppage but Floyd clearly had the better win. Floyd V Marquez, this ain't even a debate. Floyd V Mosley, once again this ain't even a debate, floyd schooled mosley for 11 rounds having come off being the only man to knock the terminator margocheater spark out. Pac fought a mosley who looked less than spectacular against Mora a fight I scored for mora, so mosley was coming off two losses when pac fought him. Floyd V Cotto. This goes to Pac quite clearly, even though he been criticised for the catchweight bull****, I believe pac style is all wrong for cotto. Pac beats him at any weight. 4-1 FMJ
That's total bull because Pacquiao gets zero credit for a fight in which he was the underdog (POST weight consideration) and pulled a massive upset. He might as well not have even taken the fight then
