Everyone with any boxing knowledge knows that Clottey is pretty accurate with his punches he just doesn't throw enough. If you only wait for the perfect opportunity to throw of course you are going to connect most of the time.
Floyd wouldn't lose to Pacquiao ... Floyd would make Pac fight at his pace, drain all the excitement out the fight and take him out late. Pacquiao may look good right now, but when you're back is against the wall and nothing is working, you go back to what you know. The same thing happened to a majority of his opponents. Pac is going to throw a lot of punches, nothing is going to land and he's going to get frustrated and leave himself open.
if dela hoya could have kept his work rate up in the last 5 rounds he would have won against mayweather-so my point is pacman s work rate is so high and he can sustain this pressure all night long which would put mayweather in defence mode so the pac man would be racking the points while mayweather covers all night long-well thats the way i see it
I'm not going through 5 pages. So what? It was a fight. FIGHTERS will get hit. Was Manny ever hit with something that mattered? That hurt him? As a Pavlik supporter I have to point that out. People talk about how much Kelly gets hit. Then you hear Kelly talk about the fight and he quotes a pretty low number. Why? Getting hit is part of the job. If it doesn't hurt him, he doesn't care. In my last job it got to the point that I'd look down and see I was bleeding and wondered when it happened because I hadn't noticed/felt it. Manny came to fight. He gets hit. SO WHAT? That happens in fights. That is why he is a star and Clottey should be on the next plane to Ghana so he can take his money and spend it in retirement. It is all about risk/reward ratio. Manny is well rewarded. After this fight, you think the general public EVER wants to see Clottey again?
I had this feeling right after watching Pacquiao beat Cotto. His performance on this fight just reinforces it. If Floyd does win, I won't be surprised if he pulls his offer back from 14 to 3 days of zero blood test before the fight.
in the pac-cotto fight, cotto was Knocked down during exchanges, which pacman excels at. during first round, clottey felt manny's power and stayed in his philly defense until the fight ended. joshua was already in survival mode early in the fight, so as not to get hit flush and get knocked down. Pacquiao made clottey hit him so that manny can get the chance for an exchange, but sadly manny's getting none of it. Had clottey opened up, he could either knock manny out (he had the power, look at manny's ****ed up face!) or get kncked out himself in the process.
He is not a defensive run, hit, run type of fighter. He ain't calderun, Floy or Sweat pea.He IS NOT AFRAID TO GET HIT.
then people fail to realize that pacquaio threw so many punches because clottey stood right in front of him with his guards up and could take it,footwork takes away all that punch output, manny cant chase floyd and still throw over a thousand punches, maragarito threw over 1600 against clottey, he stands right in front of you and blocks, these people suckin manny dick on here
