So a guy with a dodgy chin moving up 53 pounds requires no talent?

I forgot, "OMGZZZ PaCMAn iS GOd!!!!1!!1ONE!!!"

    don't be an idiot.

a fighter like hearn who can hang with the likes of hagler, duran srl and other top fighters clearly has talent.

did i even imply that he does not have the talent. you obviously do not like pac for some reason. talent is already given and coupled with his freakish physical attributes, then you have a weight jumping fighter.

physically, pac is the same as jmm and mab and even smaller in frame than morales. what he lacked in physical attributes, he made up for it with sheer will.

Obviously Hearns skills allowed him to keep moving up. Hearns is one of the greatest and one of my personal favorites. But lets not act like it's not easier for a guy his size to put on weight than the average welter. Same for Paul Williams. Height matters, you can put on the weight without being as bulky as the shorter guys.

As for the most impressive. It's probably someone else and not Pac or Hearns. Quality of opposition needs to be factored in along with the weight increase.

I do like Pacquiao, I just hate the deluded fans who discredit all other fighters in order to cast Manny in a better light. Pacquiao's achievements speak for themselves, so down playing other fighter's achievements is unnecessary.

all fans downplay some fighters and at the same time prop up their favorite fighters. its just the nature of the game.

i think it is fair to some extent. true hearns and a few other fighters were able to jump across different weight levels with varying results. hearns took a couple of losses. de la hoya also lost most of his top fights across the weight levels.

it has only been pbf and pac who have shown winning consistency in the past 5 years or so.

mosley, rjj, bhop all lost although rjj prime was ages ago.

Pardon me for jumping in but yes Pac skipped 115 and 118. After being dethroned by Singsurat at 112 he jumped to 122.:good

I know he did. Note why I said everything as meaning for a whole, as one.

Hearns is 6'2". He's a great fighter, one of the greatest ever. I believe he won at least a belt in every division he campaigned from 147 to 175.

Yeah we knew that at higher weights, the difference between weight division is larger compared at lower weights... I think there's a valid reason for that or else who have weight divisions being divided with uniform weight difference... One reason mentioned is that, weight difference matters most at lower weights that's why lower weight divisions has smaller differences... For example from mini-fly to flyweight is only 3 lbs. (105 to 108), jr. welter to welter is 7 lbs. (140 to 147) while light heavy to cruiser is 25 lbs. (175 to 200)...

    It's not PAC's fault he was born a midget...

After Pac lost his second bout at 112, he next fought at 122.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manny_Pacquiao

Shortly after the Torrecampo fight, Pacquiao settled at 112 lbs, winning the WBC Flyweight title over Chatchai Sasakul in the eighth round only to lose it in his second defense against Medgoen Singsurat, also known as Medgoen 3K Battery, via a third-round knockout on a bout held at Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand. Technically, Pacquiao lost the belt at the scales as he surpassed the weight limit of 112 lbs (51 kg).
Following his loss to Singsurat, Pacquiao gained weight anew. This time, Pacquiao went to the Super Bantamweight division of 122 lbs (55 kg), where he picked up the WBC International Super Bantamweight title. He defended the title five times before his chance for a world title fight came.

I reckon Pac should fight Butterbean at HW.

Of course he would not knock him out, but he could just run rings round him and win by UD and then he would win fights at flyweight and heavyweight

    Ok Ok wishful thinking!! ;-)
