Again, you don't know sh*t. And I'll say it again. Mayweather is an overrated counter-puncher. He's an incredibly gifted athlete who uses his natural speed to take advantage of opening. It's even easier when you have every physical advantage, drag JMM up 2 weight divisions and come in overweight. JMM doesn't like to lead and he's forced to lead because he was small and slower fighter.

Mayweather can't counter that well because he's a p*ssy. His mindset is to defend instead of throwing back. That's why he laid on the ropes against Hatton, Cotto, Ortiz and Maidana. Pac knocked Cotto down twice with counters. Mayweather didn't. Collazo knocked Ortiz out with a counter. Mayweather sucker punched Ortiz.

The idea that Mayweather is a great counter-puncher is myth. He's a great boxer and a great athlete, but he's far from a great counter-puncher. Alexander constantly countered Maidana and punished him. Floyd couldn't counter and because of his defensive personality, he chooses not to in fear of getting caught. He has the physical ability to be a great one, but his weak mind holds him back.

It doesn't matter if Floyd is the bigger man or smaller, he out maneuvers every opponent and definitely is the superior counterpuncher against any opponent. Marquez is not on his level, sorry but your argument is shot, Marquez doesn't do anything better than Mayweather, period!! If Marquez thought he could compete with Floyd he'd be asking for that rematch wouldn't he....you know like how he demanded 3 rematches with that Filipino guy he know he can beat any day of the week?!

 

You offer no argument other than saying that he is, which is not proof that he is.

Mayweather is a boxer who is gifted with speed, length and good movement, things you cannot teach. He has boxing skills and uses his speed. He is not a great counter-puncher and he will never be.

I already gave many examples where Mayweather was ineffective with his counter-punching. I gave examples where Pac and Collazo was able to counter the same opponent and Mayweather cannot/did not.

Mayweather matches up well against anyone because of his natural speed, movement and long arms, not because of his counter-punching. If you don't know what counter-punching means, you should look it up.
