1. No, Floyd did not play up that fight to bring a rematch. He fought a B level fighter in a very lackluster fight that eventually led to him wanting to hang up his gloves. To have the logic that he fought poorly to get a rematch is pathetic. He was the PPV champ and P4P champion at that time. He could have sold twice as many tickets than the first fight by simply fighting an elite fighter instead of the B level Maidana. Or, we could agree and flip your transparent agenda & assume you are then saying that Floyd cherry picked a B level fighter, fought like **** to get interest in the opponent, only to cherry pick the same fighter twice?

Your logic is always so backwards, to make your prized fighters seem like god. But if a fighter of another ethnicity does the same, they are a cherry picking bum who needs to fight in 1-2 divisions higher.

2. You know why Floyd has always pulled better numbers than Pacquiao. The way he carries himself outside of the ring is hated across the world. Because of this, people watch him to witness him lose. He plays on this, against the likes of Maidana. Even though it was a terrible match up on paper & skill, people still purchased it, because he has the pulling power of his 'native' fans from America (the most loyal supporters in the world) and his haters. Along with the fact he is the son of a famous boxer.

Where as Pacquiao was from a country where boxing is not largely developed, let alone supported. He had a small fan base outside of America while coming up and he had to perform very well to encourage the American viewers to follow him/purchase his PPV's.

Say what you want. Pacquiao will be remembered for his unorthodox front foot style in boxing, just as much as Mayweather will be remembered for his incredible defense.

But, when it comes to character, people will remember these fighters for very different reasons.

PPV's will not mean jack **** when it comes to legacy. :hi:

I never see you apply that rule when guys are on here calling Golovkin GOD and saying that he will beat every MW in history. Funny how you picked that out of my post because I give positive reviews on fighters that I identify with.

Do you also say this to Mexicans who like Mexican fighters?
Do you say this to Puerto Ricans who like Puerto Rican fighters?
How about all the Eastern European love that is show to those fighters on this board?

I told you a FACT!!! Like it or not. I have never ever dissed Manny on this board. He is a legend but the truth is the truth.:deal
