FYI, Mayorga at 147 was not slow.

And, boxers who are a "puncher with not so great technique" are brawlers.

....Im just stating the obvious boxing/fighter classifications.. PAc is known for speed and power..he is an anomaly in many ways...fast movement but awful technique..Hes not the typically classified Brawler

He falls into a Puncher category

and at 147 Mayorga wasnt slow but nah he wasnt fast either

It is what it is.. Stylewise JMM has the advantage and accentuate that by the fact that JMM is one of teh very best ever.

Pac is not known to be an in fighter. Getting inside usually is the way to beat a slick boxer.

Kudos to PAC if he pulls this out...

pac is not necessarily a brawler... he's more of a puncher-swarmer due to his unique combination of speed (hand/foot) and power. fighters like mayorga, gatti, baldo, etc. are the brawlers.

Thats the same thing I said ... if he wins ... he gets my respect but all these fanatics are taking it too far. Their judgement is clouded by his entertaining style. He's far from being improved and a good boxer ... thats like saying mayorga has gotten better since his loss to Trinidad, DLH, and Spinks ... those guys all out boxed him and made it hard for his style to be effective.

The same thing I feel is going to happen to Pacquiao ... I don't really hate him even though some hardcore Pac fans will say so.

Once he loses ... the excuses will come up

I can see some writers putting Marquez on the level of JCC with a win over Pacquiao ... this guy has been held high for between two faded warriors.

He's a brawler w/ terrible balance ... great speed and good power ... but nothing more than that.

i really think you should do your research of pac pre-barrera 2003. he already defeated an elite fighter in sasakul when he was @112 and a definte A-level boxer in ledwaba @122. pac was already a 2-weight and 1-time lineal champ before facing barrera @126 in 2003. pac is now a 3-weight and 2-time lineal champ.

jmm's best results are his draw w/ pac in 2004 and his controversial decision win against a very much faded barrera in 2007. jmm is currently a 2-weight but never a lineal champ.

therefore, in terms of resume and opposition, pac is so much superior to jmm. there is no question that jmm is superior in boxing skills but the results aren't there yet.

you say it like its an easy thing to do:patsch...all you're doing is degrading JMM and completely disregarding his skills to recover from a situation not many can come back from.
