RICKY HATTON’S dreams of facing the world’s No.1 pound-for-pound fighter Manny Pacquiao at Wembley Stadium next year appear to have been shattered.

The fight now looks certain to be staged next May in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum is reluctant to let the Filipino superstar fight in Hatton’s back yard unless the Pacman gets the bulk of the cash......

I would have no problem with them fighting in the UK

as long as Cortez is reffing
    and
Larry Merchant ,Bobby Pacquiao and Pacdbest are the judges.

If it happens it should happen either at Wembley Stadium or somewhere in Manilla. The US doesn't deserve this fight

I'll wait until someone other than the NOTW tells the story.

But you're right the States don't deserve that fight. Besides, it needs to be at a venue that can take more than a paltry 15-20,000.

Time zones will definitely be a factor in deciding location since the majority of PPV money will be coming from the USA.

The fight will probably be in Vegas, with Hatton earning even more respect win or lose (in addition to at least $10-15 million)...more respect than his fellow Briton Calzaghe can only dream of.

This fight should definitely be in Manilla or the Wimbley.

What time will it air in the US, PHIL(or vice versa) if it was held in the UK/Phil??? This would be a factor regarding sales, and what time should the fight be as this would affect the training schedule of the fighters(atleast Pac)

They could do like they did for the Hatton-Tszyu fight, in other words have the fight take place live at 2 AM in the UK so it could broadcast primetime in the US

I guarantee the Brits would have no problem packing in another 4-5 hours of drinking so they could air it live on PPV in the US :yep

Good, that means I won't have to have a weird schedule to watch the fight of the year.
