Had to wade through a lot of useless crap to get to this point, but it is summed up here.

Scroll down to post 60 if this just takes you to the top of the page.

Hell, I'll cut and paste, you can follow the few posts in the thread related if you want:

OK. Thanks. This is actually GREAT news. Bob Arum gets him away from his 'advisers' and gets this settled. IF this is what happens, Arum gets a big gold star for this one. :deal I'd bet Bob told him to come over for a face to face for just that reason.

Way too many threads on this. Can't keep up. Sorry. If people would quit posting the same crap, over and over and over........... Like they think their input is going to influence the outcome......

Fake_Southpaw provided a nice translation though.

I just saw Pac live on TV an hour ago. The deal is not dead. He was interviewed and he said they made two offers, 52-48 and 55-45 but with stipulations about the details (UK revenue sharing etc etc) His Atty this guy Gacal did mention that yes he is on the way to the states on Jan 23rd and hopefully to Manchester to promote the fight.

Camps can't agree on purse split

The camps of Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton have both rejected a compromise on the purse split of their proposed May 2 super fight. The Pacquiao camp demanded a 60-40 split, while the Hatton camp insisted on 50-50. Attempts to salvage the fight with 52-48 and 55-45 splits failed and now both camps say they are pursuing other options after Pacquiao missed a signing deadline today. Hatton promoter Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy ripped into the Pacman, telling the LA Times “Frankly, I’m disgusted at the behavior of Manny Pacquiao. He’s a spoiled young kid who doesn’t know how to behave.” Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum, who had offered Pacquiao a huge $11 million guarantee, called Pacquiao’s rejection of a purse surpassing that of his fight against De La Hoya “bizarre.”?

There is too much money to be made on all sides of this fight for it NOT to happen...
