Sources close to the situation have informed us that 8-division world champion Manny Pacquiao has been served to appear at a deposition in order to refute or confirm allegations made by Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach that world-class Strength & Conditioning Coach Alex Ariza supplied him with "mystery drinks" that may have contained performance enhancing drugs. According to one source.

The deposition is scheduled to take place just two days prior to Pacquiao's May 2 showdown with undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather. We're told that Pacquiao was extremely unhappy to receive the news that he must once again testify to defend himself due to the allegations made by Roach. Though it's unclear why Roach would make accusations that seemingly put his own fighter, as well as himself, under the microscope during the height of their Hall of Fame careers, he indeed made the explosive allegations early last year.

"I don't get along with the guy, and one of the reasons why he doesn't work for me anymore is because I think he's a little shady, you know. He used to give Manny a drink every day before we worked out and I asked him, 'What's in that drink,' and he would never tell me. And I said, 'I need to know what's in that drink because, you know, you're giving it to my fighter and if something goes wrong, I'm gonna get the blame.' In my opinion, he's a little shady, so he's with that camp now and it doesn't surprise me that happened.

Immediately after Roach's comments were made public, Ariza quickly denied the allegations and filed a defamation lawsuit against Roach.

Any of you guys ever been to a deposition? It doesn't take that long. Being that Pacquiao is not even the one being sued, I'm sure he can get it postponed or even just not show up.

I think the whole concept of boxers taking other boxers to court is lame. If Pac was so upset about Mayweather accusing him of using PEDs then he should have handled it in the ring, fought Mayweather, and whooped him back in 2010. Defeating him in the ring in 2010 would have been better revenge then taking him to court and suing him. I still to this day think that Manny is weak for suing Mayweather, and is one of the weakest/most pitiful events to occur in the boxing world in the past 10 years. This whole precedence of people taking people to court needs to stop, and if you have problems with what another boxer said then that needs to be settled in the ring.

Moreover, deposition dates are not set in stone and can be postponed for just about any reason. If this story is true, Pac will just get the date postponed to a later date.

If this is all true then it should be postponed. I'd hate for Pac to be distracted; last thing we need is more excuses.

Roach should just stop talking. Somebody needs to inform him that he won't be in the ring May 2nd as well, getting tired of him saying "we" and "us" when talking about the fight. Roach won't be fighting.

I think it's funny some responses "blame Floyd," when it was Freddie's own mouth that caused the issue. In his rush to talk ish about Ariza, he also said something about Pacquiao.
