It was not Pac who insisted on the 147 limit but Oscar. Oscar lured Pac, an entrant to LW division to move two division up to face him at WW limit with a promise of possibly the biggest paycheck of his entire career. It's amusing how people still say Oscar was weight drained when he was already under 147 lbs two weeks into the fight!
You dont know how it feels when somebody becomes too annoying asking you for sumthin? Sometimes you just have to give in and hope he stops and not ask for a fourth fight.:yep
Yes, in fact moving at 147 might be beneficial to Oscar as it would make him faster. Look at Glenn Johnson, he has not made the lower weight for 10 years, and when he comes back to that weight, he won and looked impressive. Every one thinks Morales is finished and Maidana would give a severe punishment, but things turned out differently. The thing is as Nacho told, it is Pac's versatility that made Oscar look so bad, Oscar was in great shape in that fight as Nacho told. If Oscar in many of his previous fights get confused, what more against an akward southpaw fighter like Pac.Looking at his fight against Pac, Oscar does not know what to do.
You're right but I remember Oscar was already under 147 lbs 2 weeks into the fight! He himself boasted doing well in the camp and he weighed 145 lbs that day which was several days before the fight!
Nacho and Oscar molded Oscar into the lightest and fastest he can be, He was perfectly fine up until he lost. All the excuses came after the lopsided loss. All of em laughable excuses. The only reasonable excuse DLH can give was that he was well past his prime, thats it.
Lol. Just look at the videos side by side. The first round gave a good indication that even the oscar that floyd fought would have trouble with pac's style. The weight issue took much of its toll as the fight went on. But that first round shows you that weight alone was not the reason oscar fared poorly against pac.
Yup, Unlike Floyd, Pac does not let himself be cornered on the ropes, he is always on the move. In a few moments that Pac was on the ropes in the first round, Oscar throws very fast combinations ( that Pac avoided). Oscar has a hard time cause of Pacs versatility in that fight.
He was younger by a year and even though he fought Floyd at 154, he was facing in PAC a much smaller and less technical fighter in Manny. Comparing the outcomes of both fights tells a very detailed story. Styles make fights but also...PAC was finally seen as a very special fighter which he's continued to showcase since his coming out party.
