Much moreso than Floyd is for Pac. One of the key reasons Pacquiao wins this fight is his far greater experience in facing elite competition.

You cannot judge the outcome of this fight on Floyd beating guys like Ortiz, Guerrero, Maidana, Canelo, Cotto etc Pacquiao is a completely different animal.

I expect the fight to be extremely competitive but Pacquiaos fresher legs, better workrate and gas tank will see him the through to a split/majority decision come Saturday night.

I really hope Pacquaio gets it done, im not sure where hes at theve both falling off but Im not sure if Many can just force it if his ***** are to wall and he's down on points. Hes a bit too light and doesnt have that same engergy. But he should be able to pop floyd a few times early, I think Floyd is there for the taking. Its something Floyd wont ever have dealt with.

I don't know about this. Yes, they're definitely each other's best opponent yet, but they both fought JMM, Cotto, De La Hoya. Floyd's fought Corrales, JLC. Pacquiao's fought Morales, Barrera.

So to say Pacquiao is a HUGE step up for Floyd isn't giving credit to Floyd's resume. They're equivalent steps up for each other.

Marquez fights absolutely nothing like Mayweather. They only share one attribute(counter punching) and they don't execute it similarly either.

Pac is like 3 weight classes below Floyd. How is he a step up, no matter his skill?

Yeah I agree. Mayweather is a weight drained unproven hype job who is facing his first real test. Why is manny fighting this bum, poor cherry picking from manny.

No, I mean Marquez is close to Pacquiao's level, surely.
Therefore Pac's not a huge step up for Floyd.

I disagree, Marquez is not close to Pac's level, he may have his number but JMM is not at the level of Pac.

This is ridiculous, the OP says Pac has fresher legs, the guy who every fight has consistently complained about "leg cramps" for the last 4 years has fresher legs. :patsch

The versions of each other that they are getting is not a step up for either person. Both are out of their primes.

Every fighter has his Kryptonite, for Pac that is clearly JMM, but it doesn't mean that he's a better fighter than Pac.

Maidana arguably gave Floyd his sternest test in years, in their first fight, but Maidana isn't on the level of numerous fighters who Floyd has beaten handily.

Pac is more battle tested for this. In the last 2 years, Pac has faced:

    JMM - elite counterpuncher
    Rios - brawler
Bradley - all around, slick fighter, considered top P4P
Algieri - quick, defensive counterpuncher who moved A LOT on the ring

Pretty much, his last 4 opponents cover all styles?

    Floyd's past 4 fights:

    Guerrero - southpaw brawler, counterpuncher
    Canelo - offensive technical fighter
    Maidana * 2 - brawler

so, Manny has faced 1. more variety 2. suffered 1 loss which i feel has made him smarter and battle tested. Manny has faced quick fighters with decent hand speed and foot work too (bradley, algieri) which is good. Floyd, on the other hand, has faced 4 straight slow fighters... much slower than Manny.

Horse sh!t. Marquez is Manny's daddy and arguably beat him every time they fought. Mayweather is on a whole other level.
