Exactly how I predicted the fight. :deal

JMM has something to do with it..He is just a master and really a bad matchup for PAC, MAB, Erik..whoever.

At the same time this is 3 fights in a row where Pacs looked lethargic.

Had they rematched right in 2006, I felt like he would have won clearer just because of his output

Pac doesnt throw punches anymore... He was throwing 20 punches in some round and none of them with any intent.

He was gassed by the 9th round. This is a bad sign. He cant finish as well anymore.

I hope he picks the easiest fights at 135 and retire from there.

JMM has lower milage than PAC as evidenced by tonight and would rule 130 when Pac leaves

I thought Pac looked better tonight than he did in the Barrera fight, but I see what you're saying. Pac in the last few years has set very high expectations for his performances.

JMM's counterpunching mastery made pacquiao very weary to unload. pac is slipping though.

I agree with the original post. Today's Pac is not the one who stepped into the ring against Morales in 2006.

My hope at this point is that Manny makes a bunch of money in his next fight or two and then retires. He's great, but not quite what he used to be.

HMMMM. Maybe that had to do with JMM. THE BEST COUNTER PUNCHER IN THE BUSINESS. Marquez style is perfectly suited to make Manny look bad. Although I would agree the volume of punches are not there the power is.

JMM countered him hard to kick off the fight and worked his body hard, thats why Pac was tired and not the same.

Na you wrong, JMM beats pac easier in 2006. JMM is just the better fighter. I thought everyone was saying this was a prime pac, what happen to no excuses?

Pacquiao is taking a lot of punishment as seen by his post-fight speech. He's going to be very punchy after he retires.

If he moves up to 135 or even 140, he's going to get hurt. He'll win some fights, yes. But without a strength advantage and with his speed and effectiveness decreasing, it wont be pretty for fans of Manny.

Pac should retire soon, he fights the kind of style that doesnt last very long in this sport.

A tune-up fight with David Diaz and against the lineal lightweight champion then pac should call it quits afterwards.

I think I agree with you in theory if not for altogether different reasons. I think Pac fighting at 130 is doing just fine against the other top fighters in the division, but if he insists on moving up to 135 and 140 - then he may be in trouble. Who knows if his power will mpve up with him? He could get mauled by guys like David Diaz and Ricky Hatton. But if by some shining hint of that magical ATG dust, Pacquiao carries his power up to the higher weights, then we could be witnessing the continued rise of an all time great. But it sounds like Pacquiao has unfinished business with Marquez if not in the near future, then further down the road. Time will tell the tale on that one.
