The only fight he fought at welterweight was against Oscar, who he made suck himself dry to get there, he won the belt at a catchweight and now he is saying Floyd would have to come down to a catchweight too.

Yet Floyd was getting criticized when he was called the #1 WW because he only beat Judah, Mitchell, Baldomir and Hatton there. This is so hypocritical

Pac beat Cotto. Cotto beat Mosely. Compare how Pac beat Oscar and Hatton with Void's win.

Void is void and Void is void as Void is all together. See how Void's runs like pigs from a gun see how he flies!

it's just a ploy by Roach my friend. But even if the fight takes place at 145, I'm sure Floyd fans got no problem with it since they claim that floyd is a "SMALL WELTERWEIGHT".

I was actually surprise when i saw it. I thought he would at least be # 2 or 3. Anyways it's all good cuz i want to see him fight the # 2 and # 3 welterweight before he retires.

    Pac vs Mosley
    Pac vs Mayweather

If pac do decide to retire then this is the last 2 boxers i want to see him fight.

    hmm says . . .

good choice... it can also be seen as a ploy from the big wigs for the top WW to fight one another and to make big fights happen.. ie. PBF and Pac, Pac Mosley, Mosley PBF, etc. The #1 WW spot is now in contention.

With respect to Manny, I don't believe he should be number 1 here. I can see it argued that way but personally I disagree. He's the greatest fighter p4p but I disagree that he should be considered number one at welterweight. And, again, this is not the ring's champion, only their number 1 fighter. The title is vacant, again, vacant.

You are absolutely correct. But did any other boxer pick up 7 titles in 7 different divisions along the way? That's what all the talk is about. Not the gain in weight.

    That :good

Pac should beat Mosley first (at least) before he becomes #1 welter.

I believe that Pac deserves to be #1. Cotto beat Mosely and Pac beat Cotto by TKO.

Yeah buddy . . . but Mosley KOed the guy (Margarito) that KOed Cotto first before Packy. :D

So to make that undisputable . . . better if Pac beats both Cotto and Mosley. :deal

It's purely political. Golden Boy / The Ring wanna put pressure on Floyd by making Pac the "#1 WW" and "force" him into a fight (yeah right. He's gonna fight Pac because he's #1 at a magazine. :patsch Dream on, Golden Boy!). Obviously, with Golden Boy being involved with Floyd, they'd love to make that great fight, so they'd do anything to make that fight important for little Floyd, including putting Pac ahead of the Reigning Lineal Welterweight World Champion, the True King Sugar Shane Mosley.

    :deal

Regardless of their true rankings (which I won't pass an opinion on for the sake of making my point heard) GB are just playin the game trying to drive out the fights they want. They know Floyd has a massive ego and won't like being ranked beneath either of these guys.

Strikes me as odd that even though Floyd is ranked no.2 P4P he is ranked no.3 at WW behind Mosley, despite the fact that they are both campaigning exclusively at the WW limit at present and presumably for the forseeable future.

Losing respect for the Ring fast. They should be completely impartial in these matters but the fact is they can't help but have ulterior motives.

    :-(
