It depends which form of cricket. They're not regarded as the best in either of the main ones right now, the longer game (test cricket) Australia is top and the shorter form of the game (one day) South Africa are top.

Right now, the 20/20 cricket (the newest, shortest of the game) world cup is going on and India went out in the 2nd round, losing all 3 games to South Africa, England and the West Indies. South Africa and Sri Lanka would have to be the favourites to win this time. India did win the last one, in 2007, though.

Kimi Raikkonen has definitely taken the throne away from Schumacher as far as the green is concerned.

Good for Manny. He deserves it.

I thought that Cristiano Ronaldo is top 10. I am surprised that there is not a football player in top 10.

Yeah, David Beckham as well. There is something with this rankings. It is kind of weird. Not even one football player?

i ams surprised about the lack of knowledge about golf in this forum. i was thinking that a bit more folks would be following the sport but since this is a boxing forum, ****.

people, i will tell you why tiger woods is on that list, and is something not generally known to casual fans of the sport.

top 3 reasons why tiger woods earns so much. in no particular order.

    1. endorsements. he has tons of them, because he has the megawatt smile like michael jordan and personality to boot. he does not go pose for pics with a marijuana bong. tiger gatorade anyone????

    2. cash prizes. he wins a lot of tournaments, and since you only share your cash prize with few people, you will earn so much. you only pay the caddy, a coach if you have one or an agent. Don't forget the wife, she gets most of it.

    3. appearance fees. yes, my friends, tournament pay tiger woods to join tournaments. if he wins it he gets the cash prize. win win situation for tiger right. even if he does now win, or at least in the top 10 which rarely happens, he can still go home with a fat paycheck just by showing up and bringing media mileage to the event.

that is why my friends, he still earns 100m a year. and mike jordan earns 45m even when retired.

michael had to pay 150m to his wife for the divorce settlement you see. :-(

Yeah right due to his retirement . . . so this piece of news should wake him up to reality that he no longer enjoy's the right to demand for a bigger purse cut against Pacquiao.

WTF, what is so special about golf. i mean this is a sport that can cure insomnia. and what the **** is tigerwoods getting his gatorade label. golf does not even require its players to run, why would a golfer be credible endorser of an ENERGY drink.

seriously, are people really watching golf for a player to earn this big???
