You see I just don't buy the pound for pound talk and the effort put in to push Pacquiao as the smaller man, the same way as I don't discredit his wins at Superfeatherweight when he was outweighing his opponents on fightnight.

The difference between the two is that Pacquiao was prepared to drain right down to fight in the lowest weightclass possible where as Mayweather wasn't, even if you look at his last fight with Marquez at 130 he came in on fight night at 144, now compare that with Mayweather who when he fought Judah at 147 he came in on fight night at 146, 2lbs in weight yet he's fighting in 3 weightclasses higher.

So I don't give Pacquiao extra credit for fighting above 140 the same as I don't give Paul Williams credit for fighting above 147 which he claims he can still make.

As for resume, I don't think there is all that much in it at all but I do agree that Pacquiao's is better at the moment, but then I don't focus too much on big names and prefer to focus on the ability of the opponents at the time.

For example I rate Mayweather's victories over Castillo up there with Pacquiao's victories over Morales, even though he won't go down as an ATG like Morales he was still the best lightweight of the past decade and went on to get in to the top 10 P4P list, where as Morales wasn't at his peak and was on the way down, that's not discrediting Pacquiao's victory btw it's just a fact.

The same as I rate Corrales a better boxer than the Barrera Pacquiao beat in the rematch, then you go on from there and say there isn't much between Cotto and Mosley at the time, same goes for Judah and Clottey.

Then you move on to Hatton and De La Hoya, I don't think there's any doubt that Mayweather beat a better version of De La Hoya at his natural weight the same way Pacquiao beat a better version of Marquez at his natural weight, Hatton is debatable as Mayweather was the first to KO him him where as Pacquiao was the first to beat him at his natural weight, even if he did look chinny by then.

There's other opponents I've missed out but these I think are the main victories.

The one thing that does push Pacquiao in front resume wise for me is that first Barrera victory, which was a great great win against someone of that calibre at their peak and it's something Mayweather doesn't have on his resume currently, however if he does beat Pacquiao who is without doubt better now than Barrera has ever been and on a different level entirely, then Mayweather will have a better win than anyone Pacquiao has beat and for me that will be enough to push past him.

All in my opinion of course.
