Alot of Pac fans, Floyd fans and others are downplaying this fight.

IMHO it is more than valid even at 144 for the following reasons:

1)JMM has proven he has a style to give Pac problem.

2)JMM and Pac fight night weight are not that far apart.

3)We cant say JMMs chin is weaker because Floyd knocked him down. It is part of JMM's in fight ritual to get knocked down during a fight and come back strong.

    4) We cant conclude that JMM is inneffective at that weight because of the PBF fight. JMM did have him moments in fight. Except for round 2, most people would actually rate JMM's performance over SSM's performance.

Floyd style was all wrong for JMM: counter puncher vs counter puncher. JMM had to therefore go on the offensive which is not the style that got him where he is today and he still had his moments. He will be able to fight his fight vs Pacman.

If you look at Pac Cotto, Cotto was doing good until he started brawling then he had to resort to running.

JMM has all the attributes that Cotto has plus the ones that Cotto is missing which are fighting backwards, and excellent right hand, counter punching, patience, sticking with a gameplan.

plz discuss and btw the last part of number three is a joke.

Pac JMM will outsell PBF Ortiz because it is a more valid fight.
No one with half a brain will give Ortiz more than a punchers chance. Cmon people we are talking about Floyd here who can adjust, is versatile, great defense, versatile and underated offense.

Pac is on a high right now and is about to face the person who gave him the most problems recently. In addition to that JMM has been doing good in his past few fights. Katsidis was a thriller and Diaz wasn't so bad.

I am so sure Pac JMM will outsell Floyd Ortiz

i respectfully disagree. while pac/jmm 3 will be a more entertaining fight, floyd/ortiz will probably wind up selling more. floyd has all the ingredients for big numbers (anticipation of his return, fighting strong young southpaw)

Mayweather Ortiz does more PPV buys because:

    1. Pac vs Mosley
    2. Ortiz vs Berto
    3. Floyd return hype
    4. Floyd schooling JMM

    I'd bet on this, definitely.

Thats true but I think boxing fans are getting tired of all the predictable fights from Floyd and Pac. Everybody and their grandma knows that Floyd will beat Ortiz.

Pac JMM though is different, despite what people are saying, I think it will be competitive.

you remember the talk before Pac JMM two, Ohh Pac is a different fighter now, right hand blah blah blah. The Freddie Roach videos are all over youtube.

Those will also help to hype the Pac JMM fight.

I agree with what you said. Marquez will be competitive with manny, and force manny to win a hard earned decision.

    I think Marquez-manny will outsell Mayweather-Marquez but not Mayweather-Ortiz.

We choose an avatar for each other for a set period of time.
I think you choose your Avatar from the User CP section.

I guess something like Abujafar was right and FakeBlood was right will be cool for me.

JMM - Pac III is a more important fight legacy wise. I am not sure if it will outsell Floyd-Ortiz though.

JMM had proven to have the style that bothers Pac and that his name is an asterisk in Pac's resume.

Now Ortiz-Floyd is probably the next best fight out there at 147 but Ortiz simply has no chance against Floyd (and against Pac for that matter).

I see your point. For me though, I am super excited about Pac JMM. One thing we know about JMM is that he wont pull a Clottey or Mosley.

We all know the hype increases as the fight gets closer and there is so much material to hype the pac jmm fight that I think it will do excellent numbers.

Consider these points that can be used to hype the fight:

1)Did Manny really improve or did shane expose him. The JMM fight can answer that question.

2)A classic Trilogy in the making.

3)We are sure 100% both fighters come to please the crowd Pac will try to please and JMM wont go in a shell with his mexican heart. Even in the Floyd fight he gave it his all to the very end.
