and GZA on that song too

don't be silly that's a bag of sensimilly rolled up in a motown philly
I used to write all the time when I smoked
grab the mic, then I like kinda went for broke
visual concepts and rhymes strong as biceps
lyrically speakin', three to four rhymes a toke!

there's a youtube audio thing somewhere of Method Man freestyling the whole verse, ODB's and GZA's part all the way through, and it's from before the album even came out, and then Raekwon and Method Man start doing one of Meth's verses off Tical together too. That's the thing that's so good about early Wu, you can tell they all sat around writing their stuff together and all knew each other's ****, and they had these rhymes on **** for YEARS just waiting to attack. Legends all of them

Marquez carried the weight fine against Katisidis.

You say "Marquez doesn't belong above 140" but he has been above 140 for his last few fights. That's why the weight argument doesn't stand up - These guys are the same weight and have been for the past few fights.

Against Mayweather it was different because Marquez had to bulk up because Mayweather comes into the ring at above 160lbs. Pacquaio will be in the ring at 145lbs, just like Marquez.

nah I haven't seen it, I know that that and Shogun Assassin and another flick where the ones that were sampled for the dialouge in Liquid Swords though. Man I love how all of the film samples are actually relevant to the lyrics in the songs.

Liquid Swords is my goat album but OB4CL is right on that level

yeah, I heard it, it's ****ing ill, he has the flow down to a tee on Halftime, he murders it

Whats your goat album then Jim?

On the highest level I have

    Liquid Swords
    Only Built For Cuban Linx
    Supreme Clientele
    Madvillainy
    Illmatic
    36 Chambers
    Wu-Tang Forever

there are so many classics but they're my highest level of albums personally, in no order except that I have a special affinity for Liquid Swords seen as though GZA is God to me, especially on that album, so I have that at the top.

also, speaking of tributes, you heard this tribute by Apathy?

with kung fu flicks and hip hop and also Prince albums..i tend to list a few products that mattred to me, then list what should be the best.
    With Hip Hop..Illmatic- 1994..period.
purple tape then took it to another level.
a tribe called quest releasted two brilliant albums..plus Cube and Dre/snoop released their debuts..
But hands down..the wu tang clan is one of the greatest brands in hip hop..perios!
    word is bond..

btw..i heard the 90's tribute by apath..**** was ill!!

of course I'd go to Vegas and have the time of my life!

I was thrown off because you asked me whilst replying to a post I made about hip hop!

I'm not an idiot my friend, I would go to this fight in a heart beat. Go to Vegas, get smashed out my mind for a few days, and bathe in the blood of an American *****!

You're taking it out of context. Because, when I say he doesn't belong above 140, I mean he doesn't belong in the light-welterweight division or above. And that argument does stand up whether you like it or not, because if he has massive problems with Juan Diaz and a lot of difficulty with Michael Katsidis at 135, imagine what Pacquiao will do to him at 144. Marquez didn't have to "bulk up" because of the weight Mayweather was going to cone in at, he had to bulk up because he otherwise wouldn't have made the weight. Trust me, if he had to fight Pacquiao the same weight he had to fight Mayweather, he'll be just as sluggish and lethargic.

I don't think Marquez had much difficulty with Katsidis apart from being knocked down.

He looked like he got hit a lot, but he pretty much dominated the fight from start to finish.

For this one they'll know from past experience where to come in at - Pacquiao isn't going to be over 150 on the night, Marquez isn't going to be 142 on the scales.

To be honest it (the 144lb weight) was a pretty lame concession really.... I'd guess it was more aimed at turning the tables on Golden Boy and putting a fight from them out of reach.
