If Manny goes through with the testing and beats Floyd, will they say that the better fighter won and that Pac is clean or will they say that Pacman found a to beat the tests and still is suspect?, remeber that this is the Mayweather's we are talking about.

None of us are lawyers, but I'm pretty sure this is no where near reality in the justice system. Floyd Sr. made a claim that Pac is using illegal substances. Unless he has proof, he is screwed. Period. Even if Pac is found to be using later, it doesn't matter. F Sr. did not have the proof at the time he made the statement. This forum is ample proof that damage has been done to Pac's reputation because people are willing to find him guilty on F Sr's accusation alone.

 

That's incorrect. In a defamation of character suit, you have to prove that the other party made a purposeful missrepresentation of the facts with malicious intent. Floyd Sr. made statements that were clearly his opinion and that were not based on any facts. Had he said something to the effect that he personally saw Pac take steroids or knew someone who did see it, Pacquiao would have a case. Being that Floyd Sr. clearly was giving his opinion, and given that Pacquiao is a public figure, he has no case against Floyd Sr. He definately has no case against GBP or Floyd Jr. as neither made any accusations. This lawsuit business if clearly a P.R stunt.

 

Someone posted the relevant, I don't want to say statute..... but there was an OR on the end that clearly applied. I really don't know or care. Arum is a lawyer. IF it gets filed it will be because it has merit. I don't think it will. I think part of the movement of the Floyd team is probably related to that though. Just a guess. Get off the nuts of the agency you want to use and we won't file....

But yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if Top Rank and Golden Boy didn't have this script worked out ahead of time. Look at the mileage they are getting from it and how they will use it as 'personal' come fight time. :yep
