Billionaire Mogul Sol Kerzner To Act As Host Bombastic Bob: I Spoke To Fearless Frank About Pacquiao-Khan In Dubai Come November!

No one is preparing any contracts. Viable PPV dates are not being scrutinized. But the two promoters, Bombastic Bob and Fearless Frank, have initial discussions and a likely venue is keenly interested.

Coming to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, before the end of 2008: Megamanny Pacquiao defend the WBC lightweight title and undefeated British and Muslim superstar in the making, Amir Khan.

Can you say boxing blockbuster? Can you say international mega fight? Can you imagine how many of the five or six million Pinoys who are OFWs (Overseas Foreign Workers) would want to get to Dubai to see it?

The rumor has been out for a couple of days and Wednesday, Pacman promoter Bob Arum confirmed there is substance to it. I spoke to Uncle Bob after the Cotto-Gomez, Cintron-Margarito press conference at Sofrito’s in midtown Manhattan.

“Yes, Frank and I have discussions about this,” Arum said. “No one is looking past David Diaz defending the WBC crown against Manny in Las Vegas as that is a tough fight against a tough guy. David has the same pride, the same fighting heart as all the Mexican guys and you know they get supercharged in fighting Pacman.

“But we have to look down the line past June 28 and we have discussed this for Dubai,” Arum said. “Logistically, it looks good for November. I understand there are one millon Pinoys who are OFWs in the Middle East. It doesn’t that hurt Khan is a highly-regarded young man who is a devout Muslim and who won Olympic gold for Great Britain. Most of the tourists who go to Dubai come from the UK.,

The host would be South African billionaire and mogul Sol Kerzner who Arum has done with fights over the years. Arum said Kerzner is constructing a new Atlantis Hotel-Casino in Dubai and that the businessman wants to bring the fight to the sparkling oasis in the desert.

It looks as though Pacquiao may be emphasizing the “world” in world champion if the plans of Arum and Warren come to fruition.

It won’t be a holy war but it could be a hell of a fight.

This is a Clever move by the Promoters. Khan has crossover appeal in Europe. Being the most Hyped fighter in the last Olympic will really sell this fight. PPV in US & Europe. Pinoys, Brits & Muslims in Dubai will guarantee a sell out. Backed by a Billionaire. Sure Money making scheme.

Pac beating Khan won't give Pac a Big Legacy points. BUt it will put a lot of Millions in his Pocket.

Khan is Bigger but he's Chinny. Just Imagine the handspeed both guys has to Show. As long as Khan fight & don't run, this will be very entertaining.

Khan recently told the media he wants to retire early. This is it!! Retirement Pay.

Pac will probably get a Minimum of $10M & Khan around $5M for this. That's good enough for Khan to retire & finished college.:yep

This will answer the question that Pac can beat younger undefeated guys instead of feasting on Old Great fighters.

Pac may be tiny compared to Khan but he has been fighting at a level Khan could only dream of. Khan needs a few testing fights before Pac, because one thing is for sure Pac will make him fight:bbb

PacDbest, there is a poll about you and Amsterdam in the lounge.

    So far Amsterdam is winning.
