Pac got to stop that Catchweight crap cause we all no he needs no advantage. Let's keep this welterweight limit consistant and if fighters want to get fool credit fight your opponent at their respective weightclass

I don't see why Pacquiao HAS to fight these bigger guys in their division. Its bull****. I guess that he should have fought Oscar at 154 and not at 147?? Even though he only fought once above 130lbs before that and moved up 2 divisions to 147.

The man is a Jr.WW, and not a big one either. Its NORMAL that these fights against bigger guys happen at catchweights. Noone is saying Floyd needs to fight Paul Williams at 154lbs, so why are people saying Pac needs to fight Floyd, who is an even better fighter than Paul Williams, at Welterweight.

People are always complaining about double standards but this right here is a clear cut case of a double-standard. Pac HAS to fight at WW even though he's NOT a natural WW? Thats crazy.

if you think Pac should not be fighting at catchweights, but should be fighting guys like Tim Bradley, JMM, Khan, or Maidana at 140, I can understand that even though I don't agree.

But to say Pac should be fighting WelterWeights in their weightclass is ******ed. Why should he be at a handicap? Its NOT his best weightclass.

You Fools! First off he fought cotto at a catch weight cause Freddie knows cotto blows up to 170 between fights. De la hoya on the other hand hadent fought at welterweight in 7yrs I believe so he's choosing his fights wisely but what I'm saying is he's to damn good to be doing that! He would fight mosley because they wanted mosley to be completely drained and Pacs to good for that

Floyd is not a "natural" welter either...if Manny wants a welter title so that he can say he got x amount of titles the least he can do is fight at the weight or at least let the other fighter fight at his weight...otherwise dont fight them. Like Paul Williams fights at middleweight...

Even if he can get down if he is too big for a welter then that welter should not fight him. Its that simple...

He's been in 1 catchweight fight. Cotto. One and only one. Unless you expected Pac to jump all the way to 154 vs DLH which is ridiculous.

PAC did say he thinks WW is his natural weight. In the postfight interview he was asked if he would go up and win another title and he said no, 154 is too big; and that WW is his natural weight.

They wouldn't fight Mosley because he was too big but Pac could fight at middleweight and be a champion so let's see true welterwight fight! Those who think I'm just trashing Manny U should check out my posts cause mayweather is the big of all bitchs with the greatest talent in boxing. I don't believe Pac is doing but Freddie

True! I'm pissed at the fact people keep saying pacs the best welterweight but to me catchweights take from your ranking at that respected weightclass.

he said is that 154 is too big and that WW is the furthest he can extend himself to. Doesn't make 147 his natural weight.

if 147 is Pacquiao's natural weight as you claim then the catchweight of 145 was as big a disadvantage for Pac as it was for Cotto.

wasnt it cotto camp who initally put up the 145. to cox manny out of 140. wasnt it cotto who was threating to leave top rank until arum offered the pac payday if he would sign on for more fights and not leave top rank. the whole catchweight became stupid when pac asked for the wbo belt thats what i agree on. isnt this pacs first catchweight fight. yet his opponants want him they-er the ones putting down the catch weights and your crucifiying him for accepting a challenge

No excuses - the fight being at 145 was not a factor. Pac was the better man.

I think his performance for this fight proved he can fight within ww without limits.

Also, he may have meant WW was the furthest he could extend himself, but that's not what he said. Watch the interview, he said it was his natural weight.
