will return to action in March, 2008 but insists it will not be against WBC super-featherweight king Juan Manuel Marquez unless his financial demands are met.

Speaking at the WBC’s annual convention in Manila, Pacquiao said he will fight anyone at super-feather or lightweight but for a rematch with Marquez he would want the higher end of the purse, saying "In reality, I do want to get more than him,"

Marquez and Pacquiao battled to memorable draw in 2004 despite the Filipino flooring Marquez three times in the opening round.
Paquiao is expected to make an announcement about his opponent sometime next month.

It will be a shame if the fight doesnt happen, unfinished business to be sorted out! Money should not be the fisrt issue here (Although this is boxing!) it should be about legacy and greatness

well. i don't like this move from Pac. I was really looking forward to this fight.

If he fights Juan Diaz i'm cool with it. But any other opponent not

That fight would decide who's the Champion at 130, the first Champ since Mayweather.

Looks like Pac will move to 135.

Give me a reason why Pac should get the higher share. Is it he's the champ? Nope cause he's not. Is it that he already beat Marquez? Nope because he was blessed with a draw (but really lost). So what exactlly is the reason for his demand? I think anyone with a brain knows what it is!

Asterion alot of people would request that after beat Marquez, Pac fights the winner of Guzman/Soto and also Valero before being recognized as the Jr. Lightweight champ

Not only should Pac get more than Marquez, he should get at least 60%. No one can deny that, even the tightiest JMM nuthugger on this board (you know who) agrees on that.

you're right, anyone with a brain knows Pac should get the higher share cause he can draw about 10 times more viewers than Marquez, has the bigger fanbase, is more known internationally, is the greater fighter, has a better resume, and unlike your bull**** assessment, he did NOT really lose the 1st fight.

ANYONE WITH A BRAIN knows that.

I really wish he would just say "give me the Marquez fight."

Now your just being a fan. Pac got a draw the first fight witha 3 knockdown first round. Basically that put him up 4 rounds before the fight even started. He got a draw which means he was schooled the rest of the fight, all he had to do is win three rounds to win out of twelve and couldnt. I got the DVD dont try to fool me. He's not the champ and just cause he got nuthuggers like you means he gets paid more? This is turning into a sad sport!

Ps...so with your theory, Hatton should get paid more than PBF right since he has more fans right??? See how stupid you sound

What do you mean why shouldnt he. He couldnt beat Marquez with a four round lead and he's not the champ. Simple. Thats like Hatton telling Floyd hey I got more fans so I get paid more. Ridiculous
