Floyd has a solid fanbase, may not be the biggest fanbase but solid nontheless - at least to a point where it is ridiculous to even attempt to compare JMM to Floyd. And not only that, Floyd has fought bigger names. Floyd is concensus P4P king. He has definitely a lot more at stake than JMM. JMM has only one thing at stake - an ABC belt which nobody except fools like you care :tong
JMM has some young lions to fight himself if he were to stay at 130lbs so he can build on his legacy. Not fighting Pac won't hurt JMM's legacy, and not fighting JMM won't hurt Pac's, but they can definately enhance them by fighting eachother to settle the score! Pac doesn't seem as interested as JMM does. What's up w/you and money? You keep bringing up JMM not ever having a 7 figure payday like it weighs in on his legacy. You obviously don't know much about JMM career, yet you talk like he's done nothing. JMM is a legend, and just because he doesn't get the recognition that EM, or MAB doesn't means he isn't as great or greater! JMM ruled 122lbs, and he did great work at 126lbs. Now he's trying to build at 130lbs and his biggest challenge is running. Well no worries for JMM because he stil has some young lions to conquere, and he can gone on and unify the division, and ruke that. Pac will be back, but he won't have the same power he had before he left! He doesn't need to fight JMM, and JMM doesn't need to fight him make no mistakes about it!:nono They both have plenty options, but if JMM rules 130lbs, and Pac comes crawling back down from 135lbs for that long awaited rematch, he'll get parity at best! Personally I think it's a bad decision by PAC to move up and fight one of the Diaz, but if he loses, and JMM fights another Champ in the process and unifies, JMM just might not want to fight him(PAC) coming off a loss!!:yep I find it funny how you guys say PAC has nothing to gain, and everything to lose. To me it sounds more like an excuse!!
Like i said i have no problems when it comes to a JMM-PAC rematch... as a boxing fan I'd like to see that too! That was more of a response to people who are formulating the ducking and PAC being scared theory... i mean how can you diss him if by not fighting JMM means fighting bigger and more dangerous guys in lightweight? :huh PAC already stated that he wants the bigger share and it looks like JMM also wants his fair share. Now for the fight to push through i think one should give in and IMO JMM is that guy... for it boils down to who is the bigger draw, who puts people on their seats and who people wanna see and buy PPV... and we all know who that guy is. :deal
1st off Pac is getting the bigger share already. I know he's far from the smartest of the dumbest guys, but he knows 57-43 is the bigger share(I hope) He is the bigger draw, and obviously GBP, and JMM know this and that's why they both agreed to the proposed agreement. Now it's not enough? If the negotiate more, and it doesn't work out I can see the fight not happening, but I don't see why 3 more percent would stop the fight. I just don't think Pac and Arum are even going to try and negotiate again:nono IMO when you agree in principle to something it means everyone is satisfied, when you all the sudden pull out or statrt talking other BS citing money as the problem, than it's something else. That something may well be Juan Diaz, but I'm not sold on that yet! Like I said I have no problem w/the Diaz fight. Right now I wish JMM would just say **** Pac and start talking to the winner of this saturdays fight(Guzman-Soto) or Valero's ppl! Pac seems to be full of himself right now, but believe me if he does take on Juan D and loses, he'll lose alot at the negotiation table if Juan unifies! Personally I think he wants JMM to have 1 or 2 more fights as he's getting older, and then decide he wants to fight him again. I know this,.. Pac better not lose, because w/Nacho being the way he is Pac and Arum won't get near JMM if he pulls this **** this time:nono Then it won't be overpricing as you guys like to call it, it'll be take it or leave, or kiss my ass on the way out the door!! It's not always about popularity, money, and fame! Pride and Ego also play a big part! Nacho and JMM have alot of pride while Pac has alot of Ego, and arrogance and he's already made himself to loof like an indecisive idiot in the past! Either he plays dumg real well, or he's that stupid! Funny part is whatever one it may be, his manager, and promoter don't care either way as long as he makes them money!!
