Not just his workrate , how about his skills ? Why does Manny never get credit for his talent and offensive skills? The guy is a genius when it comes to offensive boxing; I don't know why more people can't see it. The combinations he throws is an art in itself, and he's got amazing instincts. This would be a great fight. People will just say "Whitaker wins" because he's an old-timer but realistically, this is a tough matchup for both guys. I would pay a lot to see it.
This is a fight I'd like to see. Pacquiao has the speed to keep up with Whitaker. Whitaker was outworked by guys like Ramirez and De la Hoya. It's entirely possible that he could outwork Pernell as well.
Pac by KO within the first three rounds in a display of massive taxation. "Pea" wouldn't know what hit him.
are we talking about the same pea?atsch the one with 37% KO ratio?atsch 5'06" tall?atsch Look at the oscar fight thats the way i see this fight going...wide UD for PAC.....I am going out on a limb here...........even Khan would school Sweet small pea..
Pernell would KO pacquiao all day, 100 out of 100 fights. And all other fighters would easily manhandle pacquiao, even the slick caballero if you like.. All I know is Manny doesn't win on any fantasy fights. ..but i would like to have an avatar bet if pac fights may jr in the ring...
Pac shatters that glass jaw, Whittaker only looked good against average boxers and lost to gate keepers. Pac's speed and power devastates him.
:roflatsch Pea could damn near shut Pac out and control him with his jab alone. He would be lost and not even know how to attack a guy like Pea. Pac's never been in the ring with anyone remotely close to Pea defensively or as skilled. Pac can't cut off the ring and lacks a jab. He would get tooled by a master boxer.
