First loss is to Rustico Torrecampo who had already been KO'd 4 times and had an 11-4-4 record at the time. He knocked out Pac in the 3rd round! After beating Pacquiao, Torrecampo finished his career with a 14-8-5 record and was 2-4-1 in his 7 fights after beating Pac! Beat Sasakul (who had fought almost exclusively in Thailand and only outside of Asia once) by 8th round KO for his first title which was at 112. Sasakul still has barely fought aside Asia to this day and never won a worthwhile title again, losing to Mijares last year for the WBC title. Pac's 2nd loss was to Medgoen Singsurat by 3rd round KO. Singsurat had never fought out of Thailand at this point, and lost 5 times by KO afterwards (the only fighter of note he lost to was Arce, years later). Only retained title for one fight after beating Pacquiao and never won another one again. Fought lots of fighters with losing records. Beat Ledwaba by 6th round KO for 2nd title which was at 122. Ledwaba went on to have a 3-4 record in his next 7 fights. Built his record up almost exclusively in South Africa. Another stay-at-home fighter with a massively padded record. In Pacquiao's next fight, he had a draw against Agapito Sanchez and almost quit! Beat Barrera at 126 who already had 60 fights at the time! Had a draw against JMM in his next fight, despite scoring 3 KD's. Most neutral individuals still feel JMM came back and won, as he thoroughly out-boxed Pacquiao. Then Pacquiao was dominated and embarrassed by Erik Morales who lost his last 5 of 6 fights in his career (Pacquiao being the only win). Yes, he lost 5 of his last 6 fights except for his domination of Pacquiao! Morales and Barrera were obviously well past prime, but Morales even more so, which makes Pacquiao's loss to him even worse. Then Pacquiao fights them again! LOL He next notable fight was a rematch which he "won" against JMM by one point, even though most think JMM won. JMM once again out-boxed Pacquiao and has won more rounds out of 24 than Pacquiao. This is the best fighter that was closest to prime Pacquiao ever fought. After JMM, Pacquiao went back to major cherry picking again! He fought David Diaz to win a "title" at 135. Obvious paper champ who was nothing special. Then fought a past prime ODLH who hadn't fought at 147 for many years, and was completely incapable of fighting. This really put the hype-machine in gear. ODLH had lost 3 of his last 6 fights leading up to the fight having beaten feather-fisted Steve Forbes, the human punch-bag Mayorga, and getting a total gift against Sturm. Then he fought and defeated Hatton, who had already been destroyed by PBF and had shown a shaky chin many times before. Hatton's best win was against a past prime Tszyu where he was essentially allowed to cheat the whole fight. What's Pacquiao do next? Yep, he cherry picks his 4th fight since JMM II by fighting a very damaged Cotto (at least this is what Roach is hoping)who has the style that is the only one Pacquiao ever looks good against. Hopefully Cotto beats Pac into a bloody mess and the cherry picking backfires.
:---( if you don't like pac, just ignore what he does. focus on valero, jmm, etc. you talk about pac more than the majority of his fans, which is very pathetic.
Nice breakdown. It only shows you cant get out of Pac's dick because of his greatness. When will your agony stops?:think
Perhaps he does get too much hype in comparison to his actual resume. But it's far closer to 'slight' than it is to the opposite end of the scale at 'ridiculous'. He gets IMMENSE HYPE now ...but his resume is actually VERY VERY good (even if it isn't 'perfect' --- not his fault he didn't meet a 122lb Morales or Barrera [though if you think a pre-Junior Jones Barrera with that undisciplined defense was going to fair any better, you are way off] ...and sure, he didn't fight the best at 135lbs -- i.e. Diaz & Campbell).. however, the fact is... he has beaten some of the greatest featherweights of ALL-TIME (not just this generation). The wins over Barrera & Morales are huge. Even IF they were on the downslide (morales especially, who was struggling to make weight too! ; a younger Barrera wouldn't have made a difference -- he always had trouble with fighters who were blessed with speed & knew how to keep him on the end of solid punches. He beat a long-time 140lb king in Hatton -- not his fault Tszyu's era didn't overlap. Sure, Mosley would've made most of us happier than this Cotto match-up. But that's boxing. Floyd has done far worse. I wonder if your brutal, unrelenting 'analysis' of history would be exactly the same if looking at Floyd's resume? I doubt it, though.
I cant believe how much time you wasted typing all that crap out. You can pick holes in anyones resume.
So you mean he has a btter resume than pac???:rofl Torrecampo and singsurat ruined pac.....A ruined fighter who became p4p#1.....that must be some accomplishment...:hey:hey:hey
What is there to talk about Valero? Torrecampo and Singurat are more famous than all of Valero's opponents
