Edit: At the same time, it's not even clear that Marquez was easier for Floyd than Rockgloves will be for Pacquiao. Rockgloves has the Ring IQ of a bull. Literally. His only "advantage" in this fight is his height. In every other way, he is outmatched. It's going to be a whitewash.

 

I don't consider it an excuse that Floyd's legs aren't what they once were. I also think Manny used to have a better left hand, but I don't consider that an excuse if he loses either. They're both different physiologically than they were when they were younger. Just the way it goes.

The 24/7 episode left me with the impression that Pac is in over his head, and will get his little ass whipped badly. That long haired sparring partner was handing Pac his head. Of course, it's hard to say what an unedited version of the sparring session would look like.

 

PAC makes fights look easy. So does Floyd. but their comp is anything but easy for the other peers who make up boxing. PAC and FLoyd operate with god given abilities that have them make the toughest of fighters look ordinary. But there's always a wall. 154 or 150 may be that wall for PAC. He's not super human. He just has more talent than the next man.

 

Yep, when your only advantage is height and you lean in and plod along, that doesn't bode well.
