Pac-Margarito. My official prediction on who will win, and what types of punches...

In this thread I will try to answer all of your posts as I respect some of you guys insight, and if I don't answer your post, it's because I missed your comment, I probably don't respect your boxing opinion on boxing-no disrespect since I am everyone, and I am no one!

Boxing Synopsis: Mexico against the Phillipines!

This fight is a very tough fight to call. Margo, even though he is slow, is 5' 11. PAc is a lil over 5'6. The height and reach is going to be a detriment to Pac. Margo isn't a strong puncher, but he is a volume puncher. Style wise, this is the type of fight that both thrive in. PAc loves a brawl. When Pac is fighting this way, he never gets tired. Margo doesn't get tired either. Both love to come forward, but PAc does it with a cerebral approach. Margo does it in a aggressive, stalking way.

PAc has improved his stamina tremendously. As he gets older, he can even ropeadope when he gets a bit tired. PAc still has his speed, but I wonder if he is in this fight mentally. What people fail to realize is that motivation plays a big part in your fight game. Margo is motivated!

Margarito is a hungry fighter. The world hates him, and he has this "me against the world" mentality-but Mexicans love him. I respect that. I didn't see Margo's last fight, but from what I read, Margo wasn't motivated. Well, he is now.

Strategy:

Pac's straight left, right hook may be the best combo punch in the sport. It comes fast and hard, and unexpected. PAc has also improved his right hook. On the menu against Margarito, straight punches is how PAc will attack Margs. Baiting hooks will be testing Margos reaction, and then "WHAM" hard, straight punches is what you'll see from Pac. Body punching will set up the head shots. Pac has added the ropeadope style which I think is big considering that he is getting older, and as you get older, you dig in and stay with shots.

Margo loves to throw the right then left uppercut. He leads more with the left uppercut. Margo will throw 2,3,4 uppercuts in a row if you sit on the ropes like Cotto did. Margo also is a good body puncher on little guys. The jab is a bit underrated as well as I know his trainer will emphasize that shot to get closer to Pac.

As PAc gets older, he gets more flat footed. This fight PAc will find out that he has a slower guy in front of him who he can hit at will all night. One thing that is dangerous about Margs is that he can punch with either hand...so if PAc comes rushing in, Margo can time him. Can Margo time PAc? No! Can Margo out tough PAc-no!

I just don't see how Margs can stay center ring with Pac. PAc is going to stay center ring turning Margs while hooking the body, and throwing straight punches to the body. Shane found out that Margs couldn't take a body shot. When PAc hits the ropes, he is going to also be careful, and he will look to Margs body and then coming up to the head with straight and strong punches. Margo has to fight the fight of his life because Manny is a very tough guy.

Margo is coming forward full throttle with hands up, jabs and uppercuts which is what he has to do. Margos 5'11 height and frame will keep him out of harms way for a while until he gets careless. Margo has to stay disciplined and not give away rounds. Pac might dominate the early rounds, but during that time Margo can't let Pac punish him in those early rounds. If Margo can stay fresh, and force the fight into the latter rounds, he has a chance. That won't happen.

PAc is just too fast and too strong for Margo, and will break him down late in the fight. Pac tko in 10...

Both will get props from me, but you know me lol... It always depends on how the fight goes.

 

No. Pac still has to fight his fight, and not worry about what is said about his trainer. You saw what Duran's insults did to Sugar Leonard in fight 1... Pac is going to be aggressive anyway.

 

Motivation is the big key here. Pac is the man of steel. He knows that he has a tough guy, and motivated guy in front of him.

 

When fight time comes around, I don't **** around with my opinion dissing fighters. I can only keep it real because fighters can become brain damaged or die during/after a fight, and I don't short cut my opinion when two good fighters are about to face each other who have been training for two months to submit the other...

 

This is a 'no excuses' sport. Shoulder, hand and leg injuries are accepted. Stamina issues are not.

 

The funny thing is I will be surprised if Margo wins.
