Why are some haters so sensitive about this? You already hate Pac as a boxer and you're gonna attack his PPV numbers?

if it is true the fight broke 1 million buys you have to put it into persepctive that this is 2 foreign fighters. This would probably break the record for all time PPV of any kind by two foreign participants.

Worldwide Manny has 1000x more fans. His Fanbase is growing and when he fights an american next he will break all PPV records.

Too prove this is true if Pac and Floyd were to fight in Floyd's hometown of Las Vegas the foreign born Pac would have 75% + of all in attendance rooting for him.

Manny is the biggest name in boxing without question. $ wise

The numbers are official, so says "the scene".

Looks to be the real deal, with Mark Taffet of HBO quoted for the numbers.

Those are good numbers for Pac and the sport, and given Pac's performance, it's safe to say he's won over the casual fans who ordered or watched it. My friends who aren't boxing fans watched it to see what the hype was about and came away impressed.

Good numbers by an standard for two non-american fighters in a bad economy. It's possible when the final tally is done that it could rise to near 1.2 Million. Pacquiao vs. Cotto supposedly drew a little higher at 1.25 Million while Margarito/Cotto drew over 450K buys.

These days, anything over 250K PPV sales is a success especially in the current economic climate in the US. I have a feeling that if they made Mayweather/Margarito it would have sold a little higher.

Pac vs. Berto won't do significantly better numbers than Pac/Clottey and the result will be the same if he fights lesser known opponents like Bradley/Alexander. Even the proposed Pacquiao/Mosley might not break 1 million because Mosley is not much of a draw after losses to Mayweather and a terrible performance against Mora.

Basically after Mayweather and Pacquiao it's Cotto and Margo then JMM as the next biggest draws.

*****s in disarray here, they can't decide whether they should be saying 'OMG, this number is so low, Pacroid is teh suck' or 'A number this high is clearly made up'.

Void Senior had better incoherently mumble an official statement soon so they can all get on message.

How did they sell the fight on the back of Floyd's name?

Floyd only did 50k more against the guy who beat Margarito. And in his home country.

Why bring Floyd into this? Forget that piece of ****, he will never ever fight Pac, Stevie Wonder can see it for **** sake.

Anyway, terrific numbers for two non-Americans. Sensational.

Excellent numbers for two non-americans. Oscar and Mayweather were not involved.

The people saying the numbers are low are down right delusional. These are the only the beginning numbers, they will get higher.
