All 3 previous fight have been very close which ever way you scored it.

In this 4th fights, can you think of any adjustments that can be made by either fighter that would give us a clear victor in this fight?

Or barring one fighter growing old over night, will this fight be more of the same yet again.

    :good

Honestly with Marquez I think he does all he can do to win the fight, the knockdowns prevented him in the first 2 and then the 3rd one he had it down perfect, avoided the knockdown but was on the end of a bad decision.

I think Marquez just has to do the same again and hope the judges go his way this time but I can see him going for the war to try and KO Pacquiao to prevent the judges being the problem and it backfiring on him.

Pacquiao needs to sort his footwork out but I'm not sure if that's possible.

if marquez fights the same as last time he will leave it to the hands of the judges again. If he wants to make it clearer he needs to make adjustments.

I enjoyed the last fight but thought it lacked drama.

I hope this 4 th fight they both go for the KO as promised. Because if they are both more offensive I honestly think either fighter could score a KO. They both hit hard enough

I wonder if Manny trying more of a relentless approach could work. It was if he tried to out box him last time.

    you think thats possible.

Yeah that's what I mean, the only adjustments he can make is to go for the KO but I think that plays into Pacquiao's hands, it's shocking really that he has to do that when he clearly won the last fight. I think he should just do the same again and hope the judges are right, it's hard enough fighting Pacquiao as it is.

    Nothing.

    Another technical chess match.

Increase the pace? and hope Marquez can't keep up with it? - won't happen since Marquez is so efficient

when ever Pac would get tagged, he would always turn to old Manny, and start flying in. It looks reckless, but he'd always have success.

I wonder whether he can fight like that a lot more this fight

In this fight, Pac has alot to prove.
Who knows, we may see the old Pacquiao who will go for that KO or a few Knock downs.

its hard to say, marquez's style is great against pacquiao because he is an offensive styled counter puncher but i feel he needs to have more of an output to keep up with pacquiaos (weather effective or not it seems to sway judges)

marquez said he is working on speed and i could see it being a key factor

pacquiao needs to take more risks.. he knows he has the power to drop marquez he has done it numerous times and because the fights are always close HE NEEDS THEM.

try and up the pressure on marquez early before marquez finds his rhythm which is what a counter puncher needs to do, marquez can figure out pacquiao, feel him out and adjust accordingly. the earlier this happends the more likely we will see a victory for marquez. pac must suprise him early with huge pressure

Getting a totally different opponent would be a nice adjustment.

yes i agree with what you said. Marquez will land clean shots against pac, but alot of judges will always favour manny workrate, and the fact he's being the agressor. So i think Marquez needs to do more than he did in the last fight.
I think Manny will be more aggresive which wll open up more opportunities for Marquez which could play intohis favour.

I agree, Manny should explode on him from round 1. Marquez is the old man here. Pounce on him early. lots of body shots. don't try and out box him. Try and end it in the 1st 5 this tme.

I think Manny team just trained to out box him last time, and they assumed that a KO would just come.

This time they know to train for the KO.

JMM already has him figured out.

Pac needs to step to his right more when JMM is circling away from his [Pac's] left. And perhaps equally as important, he mustn't be afraid of JMM's feints - otherwise he'll allow himself to be tamed/controlled all night again. He needs to be a bit more daring and meet JMM's feints with his own counters/attacks. Because that's the most worrying thing I see in Pac now. He's been counter-punched by him so much, that he's become irritated/afraid of pretty much anything JMM does.

Marquez has the natural advantage. He already showcased the perfect game plan last time, especially to this version of Pac.
Just be a little more aggressive if Pac plays the thinking game too much.

Pac needs to press harder to beat JMM to the proper foot placement (JMM outworked him here last time) and work off his counters and let JMM initiate.
Feint some more, be more patient.
If all else fails, be the whirling dervish that he used to be to confuse the old man like in the old days.
Be relentless, JMM showed major signs of old age when the pace was faster.

    Marquez has all the advantages..

All he needs to do is keep his range. fient a little. then wait to counter anything pac throws.

Pac throws 1 or 2 punches Marquez can sometimes get 3 off on him.

If it was old Pac he might have been able to create lots of angles keep a big pace and throw thousands of punches leaving Marquez unable to react to everything and sometimes leaving himself open.

Pac is old though now. Will have to bring his boxing A game and hope Marquez is abit off key.

    Marquez wins again 6-4
