Williams, Pavlik and Drinzuruk were quality wins, but he's not above JMM IMO. I have him at no.3.

He makes a good point.... although the second fight was closer on the cards there were several rounds where Marquez had Pacquiao shut down, and was pretty much dominating him.

Round 6 being the most obvious. Apparently two judges scored that to Pacquiao.... find that hard to believe, JMM was toying with him.

Williams x2, Pavlik, Dzinziruk and Cintron on the spin, and pretty much all in impressive fashion, is slightly better than JMM's recent slate IMO.

And that's including me almost disregarding the Floyd fight.

Yep agreed. He won the more rounds and neutralized Pac for long periods. He's one of finest fighters i've ever seen for adapting and finding a way to win even in adversity.

By looks of that video he wouldn't be a bad southpaw either .

I've never really been into P4P rankings and rarely enter them threads but how do you lads go about them? do you look at recent period of say 2 years? or do you go on career based achievement?

I had the 2nd Pac fight 115-112 Marquez. But if you want to score the fight to Pac, some of the closer rounds make it feasible.

Pacquiao won't use his right against Marquez the way he has with everybody else.

Marquez times his short punches better than anyone and can also uppercut with both hands, so it doesn't really make a great deal of difference where Pacquiao is when he throws the shot.

I expect him to be slightly hesitant and bouncy on his feet as previous, rather than more flatfooted as he has been recently. Wouldn't surprise me to see him way down on weight to retain speed, maybe as low as 140/141. If he stands in front of Marquez too much it's bad news for him.

    For me;

    1.Pacquiao
    2.Marquez
    3.Martinez
    4.Donaire
    5.W Klitschko

P4P is always very subjective but the main thing is at least were going to see Pacquiao in with a true test where he isn't overwhelming favourite which hasn't been the case recently

    Agreed.

I think the oddsmakers will make Pacquiao an overwhelming favourite but your point is right.

For the first time since Cotto there's actually a case for arguing the opponent has a chance. Even then.....
