What are the prices of the tickets compared to the Floyd/Ortiz fight?

Pacquiao–Cotto also generated a live gate of $8,847,550 from an official crowd of 15,930.

    May-Mos $11,032,100 w/ paid crowd of 14,038

more people like to come to emmanuel's fights live, but he generally charged less in comparison to Floyd

Are you sure that's true, or did you make this up like you did with the last few threads you made Mr. 690K ppv buys

so why is emmanuel behind Floyd on the averages? emmanuel's fights should be better to attend live for most people

They didn't go to Dallas purely for the money but for the exposure to new markets. It also helped that Dallas and Jones paid them massive site fees just for the exposure. End result, everyone gets what they want and a **** load of fans get to watch boxing live.

floyd fights charges more which is understandable since GBP and floyd himself actually use way more money for promotions and hype of his fights. there was an interview with arum that he doesn't believe that much in costly promotions and let the name of his boxers sell the fight itself which imo is BS since pac could sell more with more given the promotions and hype that a floyd fight gets.

i think its more of a function of supply demand. pacquiao's fights are just more aesthically pleasing. thats all. in terms of who's better that will be settled in ring.

So, basically, people buying these tickets aren't boxing fans. Just rich cats with money to burn deciding to watch a fight....how exactly is that a good thing for boxing when the majority of real boxing fans wouldn't afford a ticket to this event?
