Does anyone think Pacquiao/Marquez will go the distance? I am a fan of both fighters but I call a ko for Pacquiao in 11th. I personally do not think he lost that much power over the years but has become a better boxer. Barrera lasted because he finally fought Pac at an angle moving from the left which is what he should have done first time. People think Pac lost power because he didn't ko Barrera but the dude's speed was incredible. It was his speed and not power that won him the fight. I just think he has developed more as a fighter than Marquez has. What are your thoughts?

It's very possible that it could go the distance.

But lets not forget round 1 of their first fight.

My assesment of the Pac-MAB rematch was that Pac was just a little bit quicker to get off first......and MAB was'nt willing to pay the price to land anything but a jab.

Pac is a bundle of energy in the early goings of a match, so you have to be cognizant of the fact that you're going to get hit hard a few times trying to counter him with punches that are meaningful.

......that is what JMM did after he was floored 3 times in the first round.
He still stuck to his plan and countered with both hands without being tentative.
Most fighters after getting dropped like that would have stayed their distance and fought to survive, but JMM in the belief in his abilities, stuck to his guns and it paid off for him.
It takes a tough minded individual to do that.

Samuel Peter has developed as a boxer from where he was at just a few fights ago......he's still not going to beat Wlad Klitchko by trying to outbox him. To win, Peter would have to use his physical assets....strenghth, power, and determination.

......the same goes for Pac. Even though he's developed some of his skills, its still not nearly good enough to match them with a fighter who has been fighting at the highest skill level for over a decade, and who will be their in front of Pacquiao to win!

Thats going to be the major difference between JMM and MAB.......JMM will be there fully expecting and giving every ounce of himself to win!

Pac was a bundle of energy back then and really put alot into the punches he threw.
If you go back and watch those tapes, you can see that he left himself extremely off balance and open back then, but the positive in it is that he carried more umph in his shots because he put more into them.

Recently he's been fighting more controlled and the results are that the KO's are less spectacular and devestating because he puts less in his punches to stay controlled.

I've been saying this and saying it with a passion.....Pac is going to get boxed the pants off of by JMM chosing to fight in the style he has recently.
If he's not going to be as reckless as he was in their first match, it means that he will have to take quite a bit of steam off his punches to avoid having to fall as off balance as he did back then.

It is'nt out of the question that JMM may actually carry more steam in his punches than Pac does, when fighting within himself, defensively aware and controlled.

Just some thoughts for some of you guys to ponder!:hey

If the over rounds weren't -350 I would put a huge chunk of money on this fight to go the distance. JMM doesn't ko Pac, and Pac doesn't ko JMM imo cause he learned from round 1 of their first fight (and also because I am taking JMM to win this one)

It defend on how JMM fought against PAC if he fight like barrera "survival mode" then the fight will go to distance and if he brawl with PAC "which I think he will not" definetly he will be KO. But this is for sure PAC will demolish JMM this March!

Pac knows now what is expected of him. Fans wants a KO. After the MAB2 fight, he has a Cold reception from Pinoy fans in PI. Internet fans was dissapointed too. Roach even mentioned this in the recent interviews, they want a knockout. Marquez won't survive this time.

JMM outboxed PAC before, so he can do it again. It could go the distance though.

I pick the fight to go the distance. Slowly I'm leaning to Pac by late stoppage.

Of course it's going to the distance. The right question is: "What are the chances that this fight will not go to the distance"?

I say slim, but of course a TKO/KO is possible. But I don't see it. It's either a PacMan or a Marquez on points and my money's on Marquez by UD.
