It seems that the dealbreaker issue is the amount of days before the fight (the Window) when the possibility of random blood tests will end. Pacquiao wants the last pre-fight possible random test to come no later that 24 days (originally he wanted 30), and Mayweather is insisting on 14 days. Pacquiao has agreed to a post-fight blood test.

Question: Is there any PED out there that would have a siginificant positive impact on the athlete after just 24 days of using? I mean, I thought steroids had to be administered in precise cycles over a period of months in order to be effective. I guess my question is: assuming Pacquiao has been doping, once he agreed to be subject to blood tests up to 24 days prior the fight, how reasonable is Mayweather's request to push back for 14 days? Could those 10 additional days really make a difference?

I just thought about something...if Pacquiao was doing something, with all these accusations and suspicions going around, wouldn't he have...I don't know, stopped using by now?

If he is taking something, is whatever he is taking that important that he has to use it around the clock, including training for a fight in which all those aforementioned suspicions are already out there?

Bottom line - GBP, stop being bitches. Let the regular drug testers do their jobs!

Unless you are an absolute expert on the subject you have to at least entertain the notion that there could be a drug out that could enhance one's body in 24-30 days and leave the system in a matter of hours or days. If the money is right I think a PED like this could be developed. To me its simple. Random should mean random and not scheduled.

just to fix your history, Mayweather initially wanted up to 24 hours before the fight, he came out later with a 14 day compromise.

The difference between the 14 to 24 days is that a boxer can have just 10 days to dope as opposed to 20, and depending on what a boxer could be taking it might not deliver the overwhelming effect of a constant 8 week cycle but it could push a boxer over the edge in a tight match.

No... you don't take steroids when you're off from training. Unless he's trying to maintain something. I doubt it. He would during training, though. If he did presumably.
