    I blame both guys really.

Floyd of course, has been pulling ***** moves for the better part of a decade now, so it's no surprise that he pulled the farcical demands that he did.

But Manny showed that he is quite petty in all of this as well. You have to be quite a trivial person to let Floyd's high school antics get to you and take your eye off the ball. Pac should have done the test and then, if he truly believed he could, beat Mayweather's ass down all the harder for making him go to stupid lengths.

The question for me is ultimately this: are both these guys that petty, or is it that behind all the posturing, both guys were quite scared of losing this fight, and hence, they were both quite happy to look elsewhere for fights?

I'm inclined to say yes to that question, because if you really analyse it, in facing each other, they would be facing fighters WAY better than anyone they had faced before.

Shame that neither was man enough to make it happen.

agreed with most of you guys. both are to blame but mayweather was known to be a ***** but now you see that pacquiao is not much different. they're both self-absorbed drama queens. futher more if they never fight, if will be a black mark on both of their legacies as neither man would be able to say they fought they the best guy of their generation.

Does seem to me that Floyd is obsessed with his (0). I've seen him talking about other fighters on a couple of occasions not being as good as him because they have lost fights.
I blame Floyd, he's just not up to the challenge and this is a fight he would probably be favourite to win.
Hard to believe that with all that money on the table this fight can't be made.

Aw, man... I came to the Classic Forum to get away from Pacweather. That's what I'm calling them now. They're one big egotistical hard-head to me now. Pacweather.

It's obviously complex. The state's rules are the rules. However, with all the corruption, are they the most effective in screening ? I do not know.

If the rules are the rules, who is Mayweather to make extreme demands ? I guess the answer is 50% of the largest fight of all time. That being said, Manny definately looks suspicious. Who walks away from $ 40,000,000 ? It's human nature to ask what is he hiding ?

I'm not sure but as is often is the case in boxing, the whole thing smells.

Mayweather demand was unprecedented that for sure, however for all the people that say that mayweather used this from the beginning to back out of the fight i just don't buy that, for that to be the case he would have had to know that pacquaio would refuse to this demand. Now who the **** could have forseen 2 months ago pac backing out of this fight over a random blood test 14 days before the fight? I sure as hell didn't see it coming and i doubt many others did either.

For me i think mayweather put the clause in as mind games with pacquiao, a dirty low trick sure but i don't think for 1 minute he though pac would reject the fight because of this.

Both have to take some blame but for me i just can't understand pac withdrawing from a fight where $40 plus million are on the line just so he doesn't have to take a blood test possibly 14 days before the fight.

i still think the fight will likely happen in time though

Both, and I think Arum did a god awful job. I've posted on the subjects in the general far too many times to go in full length about it again. But the management of everything. Really bad, and both sides share the blame. I'll be waiting for San Rafael to chime in. He is pretty much on the ball regarding the subject as far as I'm concerned.

I think it was orchestrated from the start, at least by Arrum. I think Arrum wanted some in-house fights rather than a Mayweather fight that would lose his cash cow. I think he probably manipulated Pacquaio and Mayweather. Sewing the seeds of doubt in Mayweather and winding Pacquaio up to reject Mayweathers demands. A bonus is he got to screw with Mayweather and stop him getting a big payday.

Either that or Pacquaio is on PEDs and has something to hide. Or they originally decided to have it in Sep/Oct and used this all as a publicity stunt

HBO are trying to make the fight in Sep/October, we'll see what happens

agreed with your post. mayweather asked for the olympic style test to get in pac's head and under his skin and and instead if showing mayweather up, he lets mayweather get upset him so much that he refuses the conditions of the test and files a lawsuit. as said before, both men are to blame but more shame for pac as he refuses to take the same test mayweather is willing to take.

pacquiao in my opinion, if you arent testing your hiding. i said it before, you can take half my blood the day of the fight and ill fight both of them at the same time for much less than they are going to be making

    Who is to blame?

    Probably us; the fancy.

To be more specific; if you are a fanatical fancy of either one, you are too blame.

The fear of losing has overtaken from the will to win, so for both sides, it makes no sense for the fight to go ahead, as the advantage of winning does not off set the disadvantage of losing.

MP is more to blame because he was the one that walked away for good (look how quickly he signed to fight Clottey making sure the fight was 100% dead, shameful) despite being offered 14 days but FM should never have started this **** in the 1st place, all he did was give MP & his team the chance they were looking for to get out of an ass whuppin, they NEVER wanted no part of FM.

Either MP is a cheat or he`s afraid to fight FM, take your pick, those are the only options to anycunt that aint a MP fanboy.

In reality both are to blame & both mens future fights should be boycotted & they should be verbally blasted at every opportunity by fans worldwide, neither should be given the time of day IMHO.... they have disgraced the sport that got them were they are today... not to mention the fans who they obviously dont give 2 ****s about.
