atsch wtf u talking bout not effective??? he dominated the fight,he scored 2 knockdowns,he won every round except for the round he got dropped, and he got dropped due to having to cut 20 pounds to get to 130. do some research and learn something:-(
Broner weighed 149 in the ring in his last fight, Gamboa 148. That gives an indication of their walking around weight. Nobody is claiming that Broner is too small for 147, so why is Gamboa too small for 140? Broner is only an inch and a half taller than Gamboa.
Broner is too small.. he's just lucky he's taking on a non puncher.. i'm positive he'll be going back down after this fight..
iam the biggest gamboa fan,he is my fav fighter. he has been calling out pac for years. gamboa was gonna fight bradley at 147,but wanted a catch wieght of 144.bradley declined. so for a shot to beat pacman,a chance at super stardom and bieng a legend, i think gamboa would take this fight at 147 and risk it all for a chance at glory! i would like to see him atleast fight 1 time at 147 first, as much as i want gamboa to retire undefeated,i say **** it and take the fight. you only live once and he is already 30. plus, what a amazing way of acting out revenge on arum and top rank for stalling gamboa's career with the whole contract fiasco. revenge is best served cold, and knocking pacman out cold would be sweet revenge.
Who was he fighting again? Farenas? A guy he should have KTFO but instead went the distance with. You think that is a good performance then you need to get your eyes checked. I have actually watched the fight and have it on my computer. Gamboa did NOT look impressive.
Farenas came to fight and win, there was no way he was getting knocked out. On first viewing of that fight I thought that it was an average showing from Gamboa, I have that fight on my computer and I've rewatched it a few times, Gamboa was actually dominant and I don't think the layoff has done him any harm. He just chose a tough opponent who stylistically wasn't easy to put away. People are underestimating Gamboa big time because of that fight, and yet you have people claiming Broner is the next big thing because he beat Gavin Rees? Boxing fans lack objectivity, the same way people saw Marroquin rock Rigo, and in turn believing he had no chance against Donaire. It's all relative, Gamboa is still one of the best talents in boxing.
see thats your problem,..u already set your mind to think farenas was garbage, and that gamboa should of wiped the floor with him. farenas is a good fighter, but u think he is not cause u never heard of him prior?? gtfoh also, after a 15 month layoff boxers are suppose to look worse then what he did.once again u just werent taking into account the details. and for the record i have gamboa's whole career on my 4TB external hard drive full of almost everyone's career sets.and half of gamboa's fights i have in 720p.so i see clearly. u just need to stop hating like a lil ***** cause u was expecting a inactive for 15 months gamboa to mop the floor with a solid contender that u consider garbage cause your high and mighty self never heard before. like i said, he dominated the fight.he won every round except for 1.and scored 2 knockdowns.and after 15 months, thats impressive. so stop hating and learn something kid.
:good now here is a man that knows boxing. u killed em with the marroquin stunning rigo,so every1 gave him no chance against donaire part,..lol
This is an unbelievably **** fight. from gamboa's point of view it is high risk high reward but then again so have many fights he's been linked with and not gone through with.
he wanted to fight rios and then the whole contract bull****, not his fault. then he wanted to fight bradley and bradley declined.
