but pacquiao is the undisputed number 1 and it is all that matters...He is the draw despite being the challenger. Gone are the old days. being #1 p4p is better than ruling a division for 5 years

the fight would be close, *******s make it seem as if mab was 100% on that 1st pacman-mab fight, and barrera fans make it seem as if a young barrera was much better than the barrera who defeated hamed, both great warriors.

why did barrera did take the immediate rematch. He knows that there would be the same ending..

its a better empirical standard than 'prime'.:yep

admit it as great as Pacquiao is right now, he's still better than a prime Barrera and Morales. Quit being a hater.

As a fan of Barrera I would like to think he would win but when he lost to Pacquio the first time he was very much in his prime. If I was beting money as an investment I would bet on Pacquaio.

those guys fought each other to a virtual draw. no knockdowns or visibly hurt. Can you name any other fighter they knocked out silly in round 2?

And you can't prove Barrera wasn't in his prime. He got blitzed plain and simple. Forrest fire, no forrest fire, no metal plate in the head..

a 30 year old pac beats the sh*t out of a 22 year old Barrera.

You did not just call Marco Antonio Barrera a one-fisted fighter? Surely not?

I would give you mountains of evidence to prove you wrong, but someone has already provided us with a video displaying Marco's amazing offensive arsenal. Straight rights, left uppercuts, liver shots, every shot in the book. I know you love Marquez, and he is an incredible fighter in his own right, but Marco was and never has been a one-fisted fighter. You're arguments are rendered completely void by the video evidence we have, in truth.

    EM beat PAC beacuse:

    He boxed.
He has a great right hand.
    A piston jab.
    An iron chin.
    Used his reach.

OK, sew me, I slightly exaggerated it.....the reality is that MAB is reliant on his left hook.....thats his money punch......

.....you want me to spell it out for you? Quite simply MAB's right hand is much weaker than his left.....and against a southpaw where an orthodox fighter's money punch becomes a lead right hand, MAB's is well below average, which is why he failed miserably against Pacquiao, when JMM and Morales who have much better right hands, excelled.

Can MAB land a right hand effectively" sure he can, if he has the momentum in the swing of things to throw one......but he just is'nt very good at zoning in and looking stricly to punish with that right hand, which is required against a southpaw Pacquiao type.

I think MAB's a natural lefty, (I think I saw him sign autographs, left handed, one time) so that's probably why he relies on his left hooks a lot.

But what a left hand, though. Served him well, his whole career.

I think he does have an OK right hand, technique wise. Only it's probably just very natural for him to start and finish combos with heavy left hands because that's how his brain is wired, as a true lefty. (Like ODLH, right?)
