no but hatton stayed longer and a more proven 140 fighter. DLH just stayed there for a couple of fights including the stoppage of chavez. that young and fast oscar is all wrong for that old chavez that time. with pac, oscar had to contend with both speed and power at the same time. those who thinks that this would be a walk in the park for oscar are only deluding themselves.
Oscar took prime titos bombs, he took eveything quartey could land, he took moselys bombs, hes fought lesser fights who probrably had more 1 punch KO power then pac and for some reason he looses by KO LOL Oscar would annahilate manny and it wouldnt be fun to watch
Yes I picked Hatton because I'm British and I thought he could do it with some changes from Floyd Sr. But as soon as the fight started and he walked forward in a straight line with his head still and hands at his chest I knew he was going to get KO'd. I'm a Hatton fan but if you are comparing the Hatton that Pac fought to a prime Oscar De La Hoya then you need your head setting straight. Prime Oscar had a far better chin and punch resistance than the Hatton on May 2nd for a start. He was an amazing fighter and a lot of people here are severely under-rating him.
By the way since you *******s seem to be very fond of polls take a look at the one in this thread:hey
so is this the beginning of those excuses for hatton? i do not underrate oscar. just because i picked pac, does this mean oscar was underrated? other people here picked pac also in a close fight (some have SD) because they truly believe that oscar was a beast at this weight. i also believe that it was the OP's point that's why he choose oscar as match-up. oscar was a beast at around this weight and let's see how pac, even with just one fight at 140, would stack-up against this version of oscar.
