As the posturing perpetuates and lingers, the more the chances of real feelings of resentment and contempt will materialize amongst the 2 sides. I'm just not sure if I buy that Pac and May had any real beef with each other from the beginning of their perceived rift.

Yeah, so easy to blame Arum with conspiracies theories, yet when a guy says he doesn't want to fight and is taking time off it just goes over your ****ing heads.

Arum is a businessman, if it makes money, he makes the fight. He has no history of protecting his cash cows, whether it's Pac, Cotto, Oscar or Mayweather himself

Floyd Mayweather however has a proven history of retiring and avoiding the fights fans were calling for.

Outside of the fantasy world Floyd's fans live in, people are judged by their history and their actions. Arum may be a scumbag, but he's far more credible than Floyd in this situation.

It's not a theory, it's a fact. From a business perspective, you make Mayweather his last fight, because the outcome of that fight is uncertain. It's a possibility he could lose. His last few fights, Top Rank was sure he would win those fights & make alot of money doing it. The Mosley fight is perfect. He will beat Mosley & make alot of money doing it. Casual fans will tune in. They aren't educated fans.

Pacquaio is red hot. You got to take advantage of that & make as much money as possible. It just makes more sense. If he fought Mayweather a year ago & lost, he would still be a draw, but not as big a draw, as his aura of invincibility is gone. You got alot of people that tune in just to see if he can be beaten.

I think you're onto something. emmanuel tried to sue Floyd. Floyd makes jokes about filipino kids on UStream. etc

I wouldn't classify Floyd's recent postings of emmanuel losing as malicious. That's just Floyd being Floyd.

"Vernon Forrest ****ed you up, Winky Wright ****ed you up, Miguel Cotto ****ed you up, and I'm going to **** you up some more!" - Floyd Jr.

    No doubt it will eventually..

But not before the equivalent of each guy taking turns sneaking up from behind and whacking each other with a fake steel chair.. (publicly posturing and insulting through the media)

If the fight ever gets made I imagine Floyd would take the smack talking to a whole other level, it would be like the Mayweather DLH but extreme.

To be honest, this is true. If they were to do it one on one, Floyds not gonna be friends all of the sudden, he's gonna use it to his advantage and taunt Manny some more. They can't be friends. I don't believe Manny means it either.

Shane looks pretty bad and sounds worse. His motor skills are deteriorating. The writing is right there on the wall that this is a guy that should be seriously considering retirement and here he is in another superfight. Im all for older fighters continuing on in their careers if they choose to and pass all required tests, but people close to Shane should have a talk with him. Some people say, well hes never been kod and hes still competitive, but has actually sustained more punishment over more rounds than most fighters from a hight level of opposition. Shane seems like a good guy and he must have plenty of money. Hope he gets out soon.
